Askey was saying its only a game and we need to do it again. Also the players are in tomorrow. He seems well grounded and trying to keep the players grounded as well. Could be a great move if Askey is given a chance.

Gorman will be t'd off with 3 points. Sort of puts his plans to non league at risk now.

Rock on Tuesday if the players can do this again.

What a result that is! Ricky Miller, coming into his own with that performance!!! Let’s not forget they could’ve gone 3rd if they’d have won us!

We have the 8th best defence in the league as it stands... shame we’ve only just found some goal scoring boots. Great to see last weeks performance continue into today.

Effectively an 8 point gap now UTV

Funny the difference a week makes, last Saturday (after a good performance) people were jumping off cliffs proclaiming us as relegated. Today we carried on that hard work and got our rewards.

It has to be said that Mansfield set the tone for their own day from the off, a sloppy pass from the kick off and we were on to their back 3 with ease. They never really recovered and seemed to struggle to be able to lift their tempo, they were making mistakes all over the pitch and we made them look ordinary. Their back 3 never settled and I was amazed they didn’t change formation earlier because it wasn’t working for them. But credit to us for making sure we kept at them, never giving them a moments peace. I know the extra work the players have been doing and it’s paying off. But like I said at half time, this new management is making a mockery of what Aspin was doing. We’ve upped the tempo, we look to get forward, the players are doing more in training, we are playing to a system, everybodies where they should be, we arent just sitting back, we’ve reintroduced gps to help the players and management too. Gradually all that seems to be working.

I thought Smith was immense today. Manny ran the midfield and that’s the manny we like to see. A good day at the office.

Great win; well deserved and had the feeling we’d do it today.

Confidence should come flooding back into the squad now ahead of Tuesday, win that we open a four point gap on Yeovil and hopefully stretch the gap from the bottom to 10 points!

Today will mean nothing if we don’t get a good result Tuesday though.

They seem to have a system to play against the opposition and more importantly they know what is required by them and their roles in the side. As you say they are working on fitness and this seems to help them as they have the pace to close players down. You wonder if Brown had not saved the penalty, would they have dropped their heads.

Great to see us play this way and hope they can replicate it on Tuesday. The fans were great all the way through the game.

I've said it throughout the season, as bad as we can be at times we've genuinely been a decent forward (Miller was that man today but needs to do it every week) and a pacey wide player that can take on a man away from being a play-off chasing side, along with a manager that isn't absolutely clueless such as Neil Aspin. In League Two all you need is organization, a physical team with a bit of pace going forward, and good home form, and you're going to be right up there.
