I’ve got more interest in this game than a mid table match in the bottom division. Not a fan of this stupid cup but to me any game, friendly or competitive against the **** from the other side of the city brings a lot more emotion than any other game. I will be there.

 

Doesnt matter what stoke fans are saying.

 

If we beat them it will hurt them

Why is there such an assumption that we will automatically beat the great unwashed youths? Carlisle must have thought the same thing. Most folks aren’t too fussed whether we win or not, but the complacency is incredible considering it’s the Vale we’re talking about. Whether it matters or not, I never want us to lose, ever.

Any game against our most hated at any level should be backed by any true Vale fan even if it was a reserve game. No excuses lads and lasses, we don't like the competition but wtf, we hate Stoke so turn up because I tell you what ,they will

Attending this fixture is a complete submission, showing utter disregard for the history of our club and the history of football in the area. This fixture is sacred to me (and many others), and to see it disrespected like this is horrible.

 

If you attend this fixture you are contributing to the eventual destruction of football as we know it in this country. I hope you're happy when our once great club inevitably ends up having to play league fixtures against kids teams.

Most Fans don't bother with this cup now, but c'mon, its a one off game against the **** down the road. They'll have a couple of first teamers on who will be on more a week, than one of our players are on in a year. Support the club for just one game only, after Stoke do as you wish. Lets just beat the cocky twats.

I doubt you'd see many proper fans of Wolves/Albion, Blues/Villa, Bristol Rovers/City etc dignifying such a game by attending if they were paired together. It cheapens the whole derby thing to see it played out in front of poxy crowds, and it doesn't "count" to me as anything more exciting than a Pontins League fixture.

 

I've not attended a single game in this joke competition and wouldn't even if we reached the final.
