Attending this fixture is a complete submission, showing utter disregard for the history of our club and the history of football in the area. This fixture is sacred to me (and many others), and to see it disrespected like this is horrible.

 

If you attend this fixture you are contributing to the eventual destruction of football as we know it in this country. I hope you're happy when our once great club inevitably ends up having to play league fixtures against kids teams.

I'm not too concerned with the northern/southern group and knock-out arrangements pitting us against them regularly as at some point we'll be playing their first team when they're back in League One. Until then U21 teams in a competition trophy is a travesty.

Although I want us to win this game, the greatest victory of all would be if less than 1,000 vale fans turn up.

 

This competition truly is a cancer to lower league football and the day that U21 or B teams get in the league is the day I stop being a football fan. I would urge anyone who is in 2 minds about it to not attend. Boycotting this fixture is the strongest possible message we can send.

Well Stoke already have buses organised from various pubs and so I expect a decent turnout from the south of the A500. I have 3 children who have never been close to a potteries derby so we will be there.

Thats the reason i will be going, love the Vale to bits but hate the competition. My girls have asked if they could go as not been to a Derby game so its up the Vale for us....

Well i have booked overtime 2 hrs for that night but going see how much interest in the game occurs before ruling it out .

A few stoke fans at work are going because there young havent being a potteries Derby before so they wouldnt know its a fantastic atmosphere and yes it does attract folk who want to harm each other (over a bag a wind i dont quite get that then the next day noon or night there buddies again ).,but generally because we have being going backwards for so long these special games are no more .

Im sure my lad nephew will want go and if i hear that Vale fans are indeed going then i may go just for the atmosphere ,the actual games a bit naff Vale V Stoke under 21s but its Vale v Stoke regardless and i want Vale win as always .
