After his first three or four wins, Ollie Holt wrote a piece in the Mail on Sunday saying it would be a mistake to give him the job. He said if Manure thought he was the man for the job they would have given it to him straight away. The fact that they didn’t suggested they wanted someone else who wasn’t available. They have been seduced by a few results and may live to regret it.

Just in time for the visit of the Champions in the week.:wink:

 

The fact that a lot of United supporters are seemingly taking so much comfort out of helping to stop Liverpool winning the title by losing to what should be their main rivals say's everything about how much the club have fallen since Fergie departed.

You underestimate the bad feeling towards Liverpool even when Sir Alex was there.

That was disgraceful from Man Utd yesterday. From where they are its hard to see how they could challenge for the Premier League in the next few years. They will need several transfer windows and young players coming through to sort this out. That assumes they actually sign good players with the right mentality.

I don't know.

They can still, occasionally, play very well but much of the time when I've watched them they stroll around the pitch in a half hearted manner and I'm not convinced that some of them have the club at heart. I'm guessing a lot will go in the summer but kids won't challenge the likes of City and Liverpool. They need 4-5 world class players, though we all thought that Pogba would be a star and dominate every game but he's another one who has turned out to be way below par and never looks terribly bothered, despite being an outstanding French World Cup winner.

Something still isn't right there.

 

Watch them beat City now on Wednesday night!

The right players will be brought in Sage.Pogba and Sanchez should have been ****** off in January.It will take a few years to sort out as it has done at City and Liverpool.Two seasons without a trophy is not acceptable at OT.It seems other clubs are quite happy never to win anything as long as they are in the ‘elite’ group.

I don't know any Man United fan who dislikes City more than Liverpool. As Howjy says, that has been the way for as long as I can remember.

Most Manchester United fans who live in Manchester and go to the games hate City more than Liverpool, pretty well the same for the Liverpool fans living there feel Everton are their biggest rivals. Thing is, less than half the fans who go to watch Liverpool and United do not live in the city they support.

Pogba is a great player on his day but those days are few mainly due to his attitude. Sanchez has never really been given a chance but it’s questionable that he would fit in well to that side. Cannot see why United have kept hold of Martial, both Rashford and Sanchez are better players in that position.

 

United need to bring more youngsters through at the same time as obtaining 2 or 3 world class players, Bale would be a good start. I’d be surprised if Ole sees a full season through, done a great job so far but that is mainly down to United’s players wanting to play for him not that they are particularly good.
