Premier League 18/19

City will retain the title. They've picked up for in the league at the right time, and I don't see United being good enough to do Liverpool a favour. If the Spurs game was in London I'd be very optimistic, but it isn't.

I think Liverpool have shown though that they are now at elite level. Add a fit Oxlade-Chamberlain to the squad next season and a couple of astute signings in the summer and there's absolutely no reason why they won't challenge again.

Elite level??!!!

Making the Champions League final last year. Reaching at least the Semi's this year once they have dealt with Porto tonight while giving an outstanding Man City team a run for their money this campaign at the very least... Yeah, I'd say Liverpool are elite level with the likes of City, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern at this very moment in time.

Not that I would think for a moment that a salty and somewhat mentally unstable United supporter would agree with me, but that's besides the point.

Ole in! (sacked in 12 months!)

After Ajax's win last night I'd say that all bets are off tonight.

Dafter things have happened than Porto scoring an early goal and putting the cat among the pigeons, and Spurs have a chance of keeping City at bay, remote as it might be. City, for all their qualities, have occasionally come unstuck.

I'm quite sure Liverpool have beat the likes of PSG and Bayern in the not too distant past?!

Surely not even you can take a lot from that lucky win in Paris after exiting the competition with such a whimper?

Firt time I've ever chosen to watch a different game when Liverpool were playing and boy am I glad I did. That was the best game of football, and the most dramatic, I've ever watched. It was as dramatic as the Milan-Liverpool Champions League final from years ago but the football on show was on a different planet. I feel so bad for Raheem Sterling, to go from ecstasy to heartbreak in a moment must be so hard to take. What players he and De Bruyne are though.

Also, job well done to Liverpool. Sounded like the game went exactly as I expected it to. Bring on Barca and Messi.

You are right. It really was one of the best 90 minutes you'll ever see. To and fro and loads of excitement and tension. Incredible.

City have a superb team as you say but credit to Spurs whose squad is nowhere near as strong yet they stuck at and showed plenty of grit.
