We do play a lot of games don't we? I think all teams from time to time show inconsistency and look jaded.

 

Wolves have done really well and do play some lovely football, using the full width of the pitch and passing to feet. I bet the Molyneux faithful are rubbing their eyes after being in the lower leagues for such a long time.

They will definitely strengthen once the transfer market opens. Long way off Man City at the moment but I think they will close the gap next season.

Has he really worked miracles though? The players were there to be doing so much better than they were under Mourinho. What he's done is simply got them playing with more confidence and more license to express themselves, the likes of Pogba and Rashford. He deserved credit for that, but it's hardly a miracle. Even the away win at PSG which I gave United a massive amount of credit for was just as much about PSG turning up thinking the job was already done. In the other big game in which United wouldn't have been considered big favourites they drew at home to Liverpool and barely had a shot on target in what was a very poor game.

 

He's surpassed expectations and definitely deserves to be in the running for their next appointment, but to say he has performed a miracle is way over the top in my opinion. They looked like a Mourinho team again against Wolves and have lost two on the bounce, so let's see how they respond over the next few games.

Point taken but if you speak to United fans - and I know several season ticket holders - they will tell you that he has transformed the way they play and put a smile back on everyone's face. They were heading for mid table with their turgid, sterile football, but not now.

Compared to Van Gaal and Jose this fella has totally changed things around 360 degrees.
