I wonder if Klopp is regretting picking a daft side for their FA Cup game at Wolves now? It's looking like they will have to get past Messi, Suarez, Rakitic et al to avoid another trophyless season.

Spurs are rolling it in at their new stadium and are generating £800,000 at each home game from restaurants,suites,bars and food outlets.Man City bring in around £150,000 a game from hospitality at the Etihad.Not sure how much United bring in per game?

How many United players would make City's or Liverpool's first XI? I'd suggest none.

United need 7-8 players of quality not just the odd 1.

Sirs Alex and Bobby must be holding their heads in their hands.

And if they do, which they are more than capable of, no doubt you won't comment in this thread for a little while as per.

On previous form you would say De Gea, as good as Ederson and Alisson are, but he's been poor this season by his usual standards and absolutely abysmal over the last couple of months or so.

 

There's more chance United will become a mid-table side over the coming few years than them actually challenging for the title. I watched Leicester against Arsenal and couldn't help but think how many of their players would walk into United's 11. Maguire, Evans, Periera, Tielemans, Maddison, Vardy... I'd probably have Chilwell over Shaw too myself.

One or two of them have Premiership winners medals unlike some other teams’ players.

As a neutral I'm a bit sad to see United in the doldrums.

I realise that others on here gleefully think the opposite but as I've said before when I grew up it was THE game of the season to watch United play with the Trinity in their pomp. And afterwards, of course, players like Giggs, Berbatov, Tevez, Cantona, Ronaldo. Always someone to get you off your seat and royally entertain you. Liverpool and City, fair play, have a few like that now and there are odd ones like Hazard around, players worth the admission money alone.

And to repeat myself again - they missed the boat with Pep. What a fit he would have been at Old Trafford.

But football moves on and the money clubs throw at it nowadays is unreal.
