Makes absolutely no sense to me at all. If the club is making a profit like this in a relegation season then Smurf has been a success.

 

In fact, we have not made a profit like this on paper in years.

 

You’d think Smurf would be celebrating this. It makes him look good.

 

So why did he say we are losing all that money at the AGM?

 

Does he want to keep running the club on a shoestring and hopes to justify it by saying we lose money?

 

Did he lie to simply put off investors.

 

I honestly have no idea and this is where the debate on Onevalefan is good because it would be interesting to hear what other theories are?

I'm no financial wizard but this is odd. It literally doesn't add up that we can make profit yet are told we operate at a huge loss. If you take away the fees we received it looks like we were about even ( correct me if I'm wrong).

We may be losing a lot per month, as monthly income would be very low (not many paying on the gate etc) but we will get the majority of our income at the start of the season (season tickets, boxes, sponsorship etc) so the figures dont overly surprise me.

 

Norman was using scaremongering tactics saying we’re losing £160k a month (I doubt very much it’s that high) but the only figure that counts is the profit / loss per annum, which this report proves is positive.

 

With the Hugil money I expect next seasons to be similar. Which means jack **** if we’re out of the football league.

I think that income will be severely down in the next set of accounts. TV income, Solidarity payments, gate money, season ticket money (remember the reduced price) will all be down. No transfers out, no exclusivity payments to look at Norm’s books etc. Only plus will be the Hugill money. Fear a big loss for 2017-18. Possibly Norm’s Director Loans will increase too.

The only suprise here is that people actually listened to what our liar of a chairman said in the first place and took it as a sensible comment.

 

He is incompetent, he doesn’t have the capability to turn the club round but his own ego won’t allow him to admit it.

 

He is literally trading our club for his own pride.
