Was that the worst refereeing ever seen at Vale Park?

Don't know for sure but i'd say 2 or 3 last season, might have been one early on this season?

She hasn't done any matches at VP this season before Saturday and the only game she did here last season was a Checkatrade game which I very much doubt you attended. You're making stuff up, Dave, to support your dodgy position.

Possibly getting mixed up with Sian-Massey Ellis, who's run the line a few times at Vale !

Booking Pope for being pushed from behind.

Booking one of their players and giving a throw in.

Failing to give Pope the benefit of the doubt until deep into the 2nd half.

Failing to see an off the ball assault on a Vale player in the penalty area in the first half.

The penalty.

Failing to deal with the Guy who feigned a head butt trying to get Pope sent off something happened so why were both players let off with a talking to.

Failing to control the game.

Backed up by the 4th official saying he wasn't used to this league.

That was the first L2 match the idiot has refereed this season.Hopefully the last !

Female assistant got two things wrong imo, she was behind play for one offside and she gave a foul to Vale that I thought was dubious. She also took charge of a mellee when the ref had completely lost control. In relative terms, not a perfect performance but in the top half of assistant refereeing performances I’ve seen this season. The idea her gender was a handicap is ludicrous.

Looks as though Barnsley were all over Bolton Wanderers at home yesterday until the referee, yes Mike Jones, gave the away team a dodgy penalty. Bolton ended up on top and took the lead but Barnsley, unlike us against Crawley, did manage to equalise in added on time. Mike Jones should hang his head in shame as a Premier League official. No doubt he’ll be back in the ‘greed is good’ league as he obviously likes being the centre of attention.

I think this website should do a rate the ref feature like the player ratings thing. Be interesting to keep a track of some of these jokers.

I feel sorry for any clubs having Mike Jones as their referee, he needs to be taken off the professional list.

I agree, there’s a hell of a lot at stake In these games.

It’s not just a game of football, luckily we’re probably safe after yesterday’s win, but that shocking penalty decision v Crawley could have put us out of the football league.

That was my thinking Conrad. Mr "look at me everybody" goes on to his next car wreck and doesn't give a t##s - probably convinces himself he had a good game - for us, that could have led to the end of our club eventually. just not acceptable is it. i wish ourselves and Barnsly could join forces and put an official complaint in about Mike Jones, he needs stopping. Personally i do get on at Refs and linespeople at games, but when the emotion has gone i generally do realsise that it is me that is biased and they are generally acceptable - but the Chesterfield and Crawley refs just weren't. The Chesterfield joker had 3 major decisions - got our sending off correct, their sending off wrong and led directly to their goal with a terrible decision.
