One of the few teams we have to face who have nothing left to play for. Big opportunity for 3 points if the intensity and atmosphere is similar to the chesterfield game. 3-0 vale, come on boys!!!

Plenty of rest this week hope Raglan is back we play much better with him in the team .

Actually we played well after Popes penalty till Tonge went off then second half we didnt really flow at all .

So here is my team

Its a 5-3 -2 system with Raglan for the over under achieving Gibbons and Harness for whitfield ashe has shown he is a better sub than original take to the field player .

Cannot think of anything of note he did v Crewe totally underwhelming display .

Mind you Worrall wasnt much better but id still go with him as he usually puts in a 6 /10 performance .

People say why Harness i say because his energy in the free role could be key .

UTV lets finish the season of well if only to finish above Artell and his Crewe team .

Was wondering that myself. He didn't really celebrate his goal which was strange. Maybe he came off and had a rant at Aspin for not playing him more and Aspin has sent him packing under the guise of "personal reasons".

 

Think Aspin said at the time on Radio Stoke that those personal reasons would soon be revealed. Either it's some kind of long running private family thing or Radio Stoke don't bother following up on stuff like this

I'm pleased its not a falling out. Hope the personal reasons don't stop his football career from progressing as I think he something about him and will improve in the future.

I picked this one out as our most likely 3 Pts over Easter.They are having a bad time of it lately.

 

Hope you're right. They probably think they owe us one from the opening game, when all their chances went begging and ours went in. It will be another hard game.

Whitfield had run himself in the ground because bone idle Barnett couldn’t be bothered.Even more when Pope went off.

Pope and Whitfield feeding off him is the best combination for me.People criticise Tonge but I think if he stayed on Crewe wouldn’t have scored the breakaway goal in extra time.

Its a bit of a conundrum really. I really like the energy of Hannant in that centre midfield, but if we move him in to the middle I'm not sure who can play left wing because I'm not convinced thats Whitfields best position. Equally when Whitfield played behind Pope did he offer much on Monday? But as we're at home next game I'd be tempted to start with the same starting 11 as Crewe with the exception of the keeper. But we need Whitfield getting closer to Pope than he did on Monday at Crewe.
