As for 2nd choice keeper, that should be a simple decision, with Hornby having another 12 months on his contract while Boot's expires this Summer.

 

Release Boot, retain Hornby, attempt to reach a settlement with Lainton & (finally!) bring in a decent 1st choice keeper.

 

I think this position, could be a good one for Aspin to go to the Conference! There simply HAS to be a good, steady keeper somewhere in there, and surely Aspin will know of him!

To be honest if Boote isn’t available I,d put Slinn on the bench.

Lainton may decide he,s not wanted and move on. If not a loan deal to Chester until the end of the season might help.
