I think Crewe are probably scared to death about how to go about such an inquiry, where to begin and what they would find. The FA should consider stepping in, funding an inquiry themselves and appointing the relevant people to oversee it. They should perhaps even consider raiding the club and impounding things like filing cabinets if necessary. From a safeguarding point of view it's too important to not be done properly.

 

If compensation claims started to be made, would public liability insurance cover them?

If the claim results from criminal activity of an employee I would be surprised if it was covered. Any legal bods on here?

If the person writing that thinks Crewe fans want answers, he needs to read their message board. The issue is mostly ignored, and the are apologists for Dario. Saying that it’s ok for a football manager to watch x rated videos with academy players as he was nice to them.
