Rory Delaps throw ins did wonders for stokes attendance. Can’t remember many Wimbledon fans complaining as they hoofed their way up the leagues

Correct,it is usually the opponents fans that moan,i have done it myself, sat there and said i cant believe they sit through this all the time and then that team goes on to wallop us,there are ways to play so called hoof ball and if played right you can create so many chances and put an opposing team under all kinds of pressure

It’s best just to ignore him as he will be unhappy with any appointment that isn’t Page!

I wish you'd ignore me, keyboard warrior, rather than following me round the forum with your stupid snivelling witless jibes. It's people like you and your ******** comments that mean any decent debate or discussion gets shut down so frequently on here.

You're one of the people on here who were shouting people down for criticising Smurthwaite and questioning the wisdom of appointing Bruno, so I'd just shut the **** up if I were you.

Didn't realise that there were only two options: hoofball or zero points.

If we were top of league two now, would you be complaining? confidence and some points may well produce a positive change in the quality of football especially with a change of manager. We hope!

Looking forward to no-one on here complaining about the football on offer from here on in.

We don’t actually know what style the new manger will adopt. Personally I don’t think we have the squad or the time to incorporate a free flowing system. They struggle to string two passes together at the moment. I get your point about direct football being dour to watch, but if that’s what it takes to move us out of danger, I think most people will take it.

At the moment there is only one thing wanted points! How we get them is totally immaterial. Later we talk about football style.

Ffs lads. Surely any of us in our right minds would give the right half of our nutsacks for 20 ****, dour, boring, Lump it up to Pope, 1 nil victories?

I’d love to see Guppy and McCarthy bombing down the wings and some beautiful footy but we are bottom of the entire football league. Any kind of points will do at this stage.

FFS, does no-one understand? We don't have to go for longball if we want points? Last time I looked, none of the top 6 or 7 were particular long ball teams. Ainsworth, who some of you were creaming yourselves over, doesn't play longball. Chris Powell isn't particularly noted for hoofing it. But, all of a sudden, now you have a whiff of Aspin coming back, it's all 'hurrah for hoofing it up to the big man!' 'We'll get a load of 1-0 wins!' (like that's a given). Utterly bizarre.
