He'd need another 20 games without a win to clinch that record. You have to admit that we'll fluke a 1-0 at some stage before then.

 

Overall, you're probably right but this season he's already there (10%) if you count all games (12.5% is based on league games). But I genuinely wonder where our next win is coming from. Brown will go down imho, as the very worst manager we've had because he's taken us so close to going out of the league. There are pub managers who could do a better job (apols to any reading this!).

That's not at all how I saw it. In my opinion he wasn't sure if the team, Brown or Smurthwaite were the target of the booing. They can't really win can they? Run off the pitch and fans say they don't care, stay to applaud the fans and it gets twisted. He was probably laughing at the utter bizarreness of it all.

 

Or he may have been wondering why the fans were silent all game but saved the noise for booing.

I would suggest Popey's dad and Popey himself have more dignity than to make a comment like that. He did create Vale's goal today but I guess that fact doesn't fit with your agenda.

That will be one hell of a comeback as the Tom Pope of old has been in hiding for over 3 years now! 2 yes TWO goals in a calender year speaks volumes. No doubt it's down to tactics, formation, other players not creating, wrong grass seed, temperature, colour of strips affecting his contact lenses?

Pope doesn't scare defenders any more. He isn't a handful for them, he doesn't get them on the back foot or get them into situations where they aren't comfortable.

 

They're all very happy for him to let him carry on doing what he does.

Don't rate pope at all if that's down to him not wanting to play for MB I don't know but he's no threat to any defence atm
