Why not!! I used to climb over the hoardings at 9/10 with my mates between the bycars and the Railway stand when I first started going kids are more streetwise now anyway!

 

How much agro was there at matches then?

My old man used to go ballistic if any one swore in front of kids and women

There are quite a few things I got up to when I was young that I would not recommend kids do today.

 

Parents are afraid to let their kids go to school alone

I bet it was much better back in the day hey! And then ad finitum for your dad and his dad and his dad etc.

It's safe to say that football was much more violent 30 years ago. And that stadiums are far safer places now. Maybe at the expense of atmosphere, but safer non the less.

Apologies for going a little off topic...also for if this has been said earlier, but I'm not looking through 47 pages to see if it has: if we somehow made a success of this season, whether it be through attendances if the team's doing well; or a couple of decent Cup runs, and Smurf takes money out to start repaying his loans to the Vale, then he wouldn't need to set such a high price to sell the club. So, maybe, by buying STs and actively supporting the Vale this would actually help us to get rid of him?
