Putting my optimistic head on for a moment we'll have Andoh back next season which is already like having a new player. Foley and Grant in the middle of the park is fine, should O'Connor leave, and the likes of Alnwick, Kelly and Hooper should be better with having a full season behind them and also a pre-season with the club.

We desperately need a couple of defenders and a goal-scorer. Most of us know this and I'm certain that Page does too.

I think we shouldn't be putting too much faith in Andoh coming back the same as he was just yet. Pagey has talked about Oct being when he is due back, but whats to say hes going to hit the ground running straight away. It may take some time, after all its a really serious injury hes coming back from.

Those happy that that Page might leave should be careful what they wish for.

Rob Page is going to be a successful manager and I just hope he stays around to be successful with us.

We feel like a stable club with him at the helm because he is a stable and intelligent guy.

The vast majority of the supporters (those who actually attend) seem to be behind him and are aware of the difficult situations he's sometimes placed in.

I hope page is a great success and I hope he achieves that success at Vale.

Because I dont agree with perhaps what he does or how he does it doesnt mean I want him gone.

I am one of the previously sceptical about Page fans. I have accepted over the last season that he still makes mistakes (what manager doesn't?) and he infuriates /frustrates us from time to time with certain tactics and player selections. However he has given us a very good solid base to work on and I for one am able to swallow my pride and say yes I would prefer him to stay here and continue the progress he's been able to give us.

I probably will still lambast him from time to time but don't we all do that in any case with players, club and management? We will see in the coming season if he has indeed learnt from his mistakes and is able to appease MOST Vale fans!

I've never heard a "Page out" song at a match- it's just the keyboard warriors, giving it the big 'un from behind a screen
