Hughesy - player / coach?

Lee was in the sentinel earlier this week saying he's had a few offers and he's thinking he might play one more season.

Ok, he's 38 and I would be much more thinking about him passing on his goalscoring abilities to our youngsters like Kapend and Campion (not that young)

But honestly, if we were one nil down and 5 mins left on the clock, would you choose not to bring on lee?

He's a fan favourite too, from all accounts very much liked by the back staff and players so he could bring something positive??

Thoughts??

On what basis do you say he is a fans favourite ? He did a good job for us, but I don't think he should come back, and really this is nothing to do with his criminal past- more a vote against this continuing obsession with getting former players back to the club. No, not a good idea in my opinion.

I don't know anything about his coaching ability but he hasn't been a regular at Forest Green so I doubt he has anything left to offer us at league level now.

I'd prefer to look at someone 33-34 if we are thinking of a player-coach.

But are we? Or are we simply after a normal coach?

On the basis that he is a favourite of many of our fans. He got a louder cheer than anyone before the grew testimonial.

But I don't think bringing him back in any sort of playing capacity is worthwhile
