But how do we afford to get eight better players in if we only release nine (possibly eleven) and we retain all the big-earners?

Some of those released must be on decent money, wasnt Robertson on a fair wage when we signed him? In my opinion for the money we are paying their must be better players out there.

I think we have to look at the loan market and try and attract 2-3 very good loan players for the season.

MK Dons did it with the likes of Baker and Ali. Last year they had Bamford.

If we could do this it would save on 2-3 wages and make the team better.

That would, hopefully, release funds elsewhere.

But a large part of it boils down to Page and his coaching and tactics. Smaller clubs can do well (Yeovil, Rochdale, Crewe in the past, Walsall are doing ok, etc.) It depends on how good the coaching is and how cute the manager is at spotting a good player. It's not impossible.

Glover and Grew OUT

Birchall/Williamson/Yates/Daniel/Mohamed/Robertson....can find League 2 Clubs

Inniss season long loan plus possibly Collins/O'Sullivan/Coulibaly.

Keepers....Neal/Johnson/Boot

Defenders....Dicko/Deen-Conteh/McGivern/Collins/Inniss/Smith/Duffy/Veseli....plus RB.

Midfield.....O'Connor/Lines/Brown/O'Sullivan/Dodds...plus CM.

Wingers...Marshall/Moore/Andoh/Lloyd/Coulibaly

Forwards...Pope/Campion/Kapend/Nimely.....plus CF

Brown as Player Coach.....Inniss season long Loan......need a Right Back/Centre Mid/Centre Forward....however don't know the situation with either

Lines or Nimely and whether Page and new coaching staff will play 4/4/2 or 4/3/3 or 4/2/3/1.....also some players might not sign and find new clubs.

So there could be six or eight new players and maybe a couple of loans.

Squad seems gifted with keepers and Collins/Inniss could be a solid centre back partnership....both Veseli (RB/CB)and McGivern (LB/CB)are versatile

while the experienced Duffy offers cover also...Deen-Conteh should push Dickinson for the left back spot and a new right back signing is a must have.

Midfield with O'Connor/Lines/Brown/Dodds/O'Sullivan plus a new centre midfield signing and the wingers Marshall/Moore/Andoh/Lloyd/Coulibaly

seems very attacking and with Brown busy as player coach the new player should be a holding midfielder option.

The forward line needs a fully fit Pope and Campion with the benefit of a full pre-season plus Kapend the wonder kid but also a new signing and

if the very talented Nimely can't find some focus and get the attitude right then two new forwards are needed.

It might look a big squad but some young players will go out on loan and Brown will be player coach and a couple of signings will likely be loan deals it does kinda looks like the club will ship seven or eight or nine players out and sign six or seven....but the most important thing is new coaching staff.

The above is a discussion paper or a rough sketch map of possibilities moving forward.

I made it 7 touches from O'Sullivan and 6 of those were given away to the opposition on Sunday.

On that alone, I would suggest we need to do better than him. Forget he plays for Wales - a blind sheep would probably get in their national side.

I cannot see any way Nimely will be staying, BA. An attitude like his seems to be is destructive. I think Lines will go back to Bristol Rovers and McGivern also seems to be marginalised, suggesting he'll be on his way somehow.

Think your probably right about Nimely and Lines both very talented players and McGivern a versatile International defender from the SPL has seemed to be marginalised....some of these outcomes are down to the players themselves but it also raises questions about management and coaching staff.

I think it says more about Scottish football really. McGivern is not the answer if we are looking to improve.

I think the whole back four needs replacing. When you look at some of the goals we've been conceding it's like they've never played together before. There's no leader in there, a point highlighted perfectly when we lost Inniss.

To be honest, I'd try to find a way of getting rid of all the defenders we have right now. Start over.

Mohamed Coulibaly released by Bournemouth, people think he's worth signing or not? I wasn't convinced by him on Sunday, he has a bit of pace & trickery but didn't seem to know what to do with a lot of the time.

Given a pre-season i think we could work on him and imo he would be a useful addition
