Robbie Earl's Perm........the owners Wildes and Smurf want an "Academy" and a "Development Squad" which might account for the list of young players turning out for the reserves on trial....so perhaps there will be signings for the first team squad and a number of younger players for the development squad.....given the owners ideas and Adams limitations perhaps a Director of Football and

some qualified coaching staff might also be an idea.

Realistically I can't see Billy wanting to come back from a newly promoted to the Championship club and still one year on a contract left.

Marlon Pack from Cheltenham would be decent

 

Pack is quoted in today's Sun as saying that he might leave Cheltenham as he wants to be playing at a higher level. Out-of-contract this Summer but would probably need a fee/tribunal as he's only 22.

People keep mentioning wells. It's pie in the sky. The money being quoted is out of reach of league 1.

Jaque maghoma would be good although don't now if he could cut it in l1 ?? Plenty of players will be out of contract which are still not been published yet!

We definitely need two centre backs with pace or we're going to be taken apart routinely in L1. Watching Daniel Jones, who couldn't command a first team place in a struggling championship side, tells us a lot about the quality we should expect to be up against. We also need at least one midfielder, preferably two, who are capable of dominating (not matching) our opponents or our forwards are going to get limited service.

 

One or two people on this site have suggested that the much criticised Calvin Andrew might make a good central defender given his size, strength and pace. Wonder if Micky would take a chance on him there? He's def not a forward!

Havent seen anything about the wage budget for next season but according to the Mail,Peterborough's wage bill this year is 3 Million,dont know how Vale stand with that ??

Davids would be class but would have to offer a coaching role I expect. Wellens and Davids in the middle would be pretty good in League One!

I think this would be over double ours but they won't have that next season and ours will be higher
