To be fair he was right, and it was a long time ago.

After much consternation and confirmation from the backroom staff who he praised.

I knew it.

You are the only person on here who thinks that it was a definite red card which makes your statement look even sillier that you know exactly what the Blackpool player was thinking

He isn't some of us just aren't always that vocal.

Live I thought it was a good tackle. Watched it back on my phone at half time, from the TV view I didn't think you could argue, then from the view behind the goal you could clearly see he missed the ball

Quite enjoying myself tonight, nice steak polished off, log burner on, glass of red, reading some of the comments  Stockley & Hennigan garbage, Cole and Byers a waste of a wage, worst Vale team ever, tell you what, those 4 were immense this afternoon, 2nd half I think we'd still have won even v 11 obviously this win could be false dawn but by Christ I enjoyed it...

As I recall, we were beating them with a few minutes remaining.

Yep, i agree but their passing and fwd movement was sublime at times and they were knocking at the door especially during the second half. We were so vunerable at the back, then the ineveratble capitulation happened something we have seen so often under DM. Disagree if you like !!!!

He said it was Curtis against Mansfield, but then started to doubt himself.  I can understand why.

I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I quite like Phil.  He’s certainly not been the worst thing about this season.

Why are Stevenage tinpot? I think they are an excellent club punching above their weight and obviously getting a lot of things right. How do you assess them as tinpot?

i actually think the league is decent just not as many big name clubs as some previous seasons they inevitably find their way back to the championship although it looks like Wednesday are heading back down.

Relegated championship  teams Luton and Plymouth aren’t finding it easy and promoted league 2 teams like vale and Doncaster are propping g up the league. Although Wimbledon doing ok, it’s a long season and they only have a 4 point gap between them and the relegation zone.

I agree and there is a lot of money that has been spent at all sides. Usually you get about 3/4 clubs struggling to avoid admin and fielding teams with as many loans as possible with the best players all free transfers.

Most clubs have players on thousands a week. We have struggled for wins and you get fans saying the other clubs are poor and we should be walking it.

That really isn’t true. We can see that all clubs we have played have been equally tough. You don’t get poor sides like to you see in league 2, where half the division are a whole step down.

Even if we had won more and were 12th, it would still not be a done deal that we’d stay up as a slump would easily see us dragged in on a mere 31 points.

Absolute rubbish.

it was a harsh red card and the only reason he started arguing with the ref because he couldn’t believe that he was getting sent off for something so harsh

Having seen some of the yellows he was dishing out then no surprises it was a red. Gave the ref a decision to make.

Why was their no.10 allowed to be in the referee’s face after every single decision the ref made ? He was not their captain that was no.5  Also, his action at the corner where he was pulling and pushing Mo until Mo lost his temper and pushed him over was disgusting and he should have been booked as well. He even went over to the Vale players celebrating Devante’s goal and tried to intimidate them for a reaction.

Don't recall them playing us off the park. What was it? 3-0?, 4-0?, 5-0?

Most clubs are backed by a multi-millionaires.

By 'tinpot', I think interpret this as a club that doesn't have a big or decent fan base or lack a decent size ground or amenities within it.

They won !!!!!!!!

I know, one has to try and keep up standards 😁

They play in the image of their manager who is a complete weapon. I thought the celebration for their goal was arrogance and I thought they put in more late challenges than I've seen in many games. They probably deserved more red cards if anything...some stupid challenges being made.

Reading Ian Evans comments, obviously not happy with the sending off but says 2nd is a foul and 3rd is handball.

Rewatched them I don't think Cole is a foul although it's the kind of <ovf censored> one which is usually given and Headleys goal looks like it comes off his defenders arm in the box. I always look at the players reactions and not one players appealed for handball, says its all. Sour grapes on that one I think.

Headley did handball it, but before he did, their defender did clear as day. So fine then, we should’ve had a penalty. Evatt always been an arse.

No he is not! Clearly a penalty from Lorne Street area of the ground.
