Haha. I can still vividly remember watching that from the away end behind the goal at the far side of the ground.

You could see it coming a good 5 seconds beforehand, as big Bob chugged his way across the pitch to scythe down their guy on the touchline!

Great tackle! 😆

We should have shown that tackle to Smithy before the Colchester game! 😂

Just a quick word on the ref….

I thought he was one of the best we have had all season. I believe it’s his first season officiating in the EFL. Wasn’t fussy let the players play, allowed physical contact on both sides and didn’t blow for any of those <ovf censored> feel contact throw yourself on the floor fouls. This helped us a lot l, we could get close and tackle without fear of MK ‘winning’ a freekick, in fact MK soon realised they weren’t getting anything and stopped doing it.

Outstanding job, shame he had to be replaced by an official who didn’t have the same mindset.

The only thing I couldn’t fathom - admittedly a very minor thing - was why, at the start of the 2nd half, he allowed their keeper to hold onto the ball for a ridiculous amount of time, and I mean like maybe 45 secs. Surely if it had been the other way it would have been a yellow for time wasting???

One thing the gaffer must of learned today is how much better we are when we play on the front foot and press. We’re also so much better when we keep it on the floor. If we avoid injuries to big players and play like that there’s no reason we can’t make the automatic places.

I remember a story about big Bob regarding words he had with Clive Allen (then top scorer in Division 1/Prem) in the tunnel before walking out for the FA cup win against Spurs. Not sure how true it is but watching him play I could certainly believe it, but it was along the lines of “ Hey Clive, I’m at the end of my football career, this afternoon I’ll be quite happy to bring yours to an end”. Don’t think Allen touched the ball all game.

It’s great to see the club embracing heroes of yester year…. It was long overdue.

It would be nice if we could see some of them on to the pitch at halftime or even before the game as Honourary Captains for the coin toss before the kickoff like you see in the NFL.

Agree, we should get ‘em in the fanzone before the game, great photo opportunity for those not in hospitality, to rub shoulders with their heroes of yesteryear.

Could be Bob Hazel? Surely Beckford couldn't have got that big!

Last time I saw Beckford was maybe 20 years ago and he'd already added a lot of timber!

Just seen the highlights, that third goal was WAY above league 2 level. 😊❤️

Harper has not been very poor. He's been inconsistent, but you're overstating it to suit your narrative. Walters has been better though, which is great. Strength in depth gets you promoted.

I disagree. I think Harper has been very poor. There is no narrative so I have no idea what your on about there. I was just stating that Walter’s has had the impact I thought Harper would who I think has been poor and offered very little

Much better yesterday. We are so much better when Stockley plays.

Also thought Curtis was really good. Special mention to Heneghan, he doesn’t let us down when he comes in.

We need to win against Morecambe next Saturday because I can’t see us beating Barrow. We just don’t win Tuesday night games.

The next two will be harder games than today. We’ve struggled to break down teams that make it difficult for us.

I might get a bit more confident if we can win these three home games in a row.

Touch of class from Umolu, Curtis and Garrity.

Listening to the commentary on 3 counties radio yesterday and their commentators talking was really insightful, felt like it could have been cut and pasted from last season under Crosby. Loads of possession, going nowhere. That brand of football does not work in div 4. They need a wholesale review of their style, as we did. Today was a really good version of us.

Well we all needed that yesterday, keeps the criticism and negativity down and under control and proves we are still very much contenders for an auto place.

Massive confidence boost for the lads as well after the frustrations of the last little while.

We have a team of fighters. Mitch, the Todger, Cros, Kyle, Jesse etc etc with Ronan leading the charge 😂 He was my mom yesterday, just based on the passion he shows for the badge and ultimately for us Valiants.

Pressure is mounting at the top and we've got a convincing win just at the right time for the remainder of the season imo. A statement of intent, all be it against a very poor mk dons, who I've seen are tipped to be fighting down the bottom for survival.

Simmer don't t boil, keep level headed as much as possible, and lets get behind the gaffer and the lads for the rest of the run in as much as possible.

We don't want play offs, we want autos.

UTV 💪
