Doesn't the weekend just feel a lot happier after 3 points. 

To be honest I don't know how much of yesterday was down to us being really good or them being utterly abject but I'll stick with the positive. 

I thought the front three worked very well together, could be a good change for us going forward. 

Walters was sensational, my MOTM. 

Big shout out to Jesse as well who's been slagged from pillar to post on here, he's been immense since coming back in. 

 

Clarke and John got to be the best wing backs in this league by a country mile. We look so balanced when they both play.

Yes he signed a one year but i believe there is an option in our favour,if that is an extra year then personally i would be offering another 2 on top of that.

Made even sweeter by the fact their interim manager is Ben Gladwin who played for Swindon in the playoff loss to us.

If I remember right, was he the guy who was super disrespectful to the area and Gibbo called him out on Twitter and he <ovf censored> himself.

Wasnt he also the one who effectively gave our team talk for us by laughing and joking about how much better footballers they were than us after the first leg.

it’s so tight at the top the next couple of ‘winnable’ matches are must win. Such a balanced team.

Waking up on a Sunday morning & be like 😁 Realising we’ve won, with 20 shots & scoring 3 goals in the process! Thought we were really good yesterday 👏🏻 This guy my man of the match he absolutely bullied them but great games for John, Clark, Walters & Curtis also. Byers got the press perfect on numerous occasions & Big Jerry was brilliant when he came on! When we have a few on top of their games we are a force to be reckoned with. Roll on Morecambe ⚽️ I’m certainly gonna relish this fine day. Have a good one Valiants 😎

I remember Hazel turning around one game could of been Oxford away?  and punching possibly John Durnin square on the jaw(Hazel sent off i think) but my memory is cloudy from back then 🙂

I thought he was one of the best we have had all season. I believe it’s his first season officiating in the EFL. Wasn’t fussy let the players play, allowed physical contact on both sides and didn’t blow for any of those <ovf censored> feel contact throw yourself on the floor fouls. This helped us a lot l, we could get close and tackle without fear of MK ‘winning’ a freekick, in fact MK soon realised they weren’t getting anything and stopped doing it.

Outstanding job, shame he had to be replaced by an official who didn’t have the same mindset.

I will also give credit to MK who for once didn't roll on the ground at every tackle,they like us just got up and got on with it which has been rare to see at Vale from opposing teams

Also as i haven't really seen it on here yet I would like to say a big well done to DM who i think got it bang on today,it does seem if we lose or dont play well it's down to him but if we win and play well it's the players,so I just think he needs a pat on the back.... well done to all 🙂

I think Harper has had some good game, yes, he needs to work on his fitness and decision making but generally I don’t think he’s been a bad signing outside the transfer window, he is certainly an upgrade over Lowe who had a lot of game time earlier in the season. Saying that, Walters has cemented his place above Harper, come the end of season Lowe will be released and a decision needs to be made over Harper.

Started off slowly yesterday then a bit of brilliance from Tolaj meant they opened up along with our pressing saw the game only go one way. Both our wing backs were excellent and I’d give John MOM, having them 2 fit while Headley is out is key. Great to see Stockley start and Garrity come on. Things looking brighter now , just need to continue with the high press and more attacking stance. 

It's nice to have a win but we need to be a bit more honest here.  MK Don's didn't want to know.  They didn't compete and had zero intent to attack.  I thought we played ok, but that's about all.  We were sloppy with the ball for periods and nowhere near clinical enough in front of goal.

Walters had a good game but just like at Colchester he has let's his man run past him consistently and then points at him as if he is passing him on, except often there is no spare man to pick him up.  He did it a few times yesterday but due to MKs lack of intent, we got away with it.

Stockley and Garrity returning is a big plus for us and having Clark and John available to play as wing backs is also a bonus as it does give us balance.

I am delighted to get the points but I dont think much changes apart from the result.

We have to win the next 2 games, no excuses.
