Someone who has been very vocal on here over the last few months about Moore etc is Spunk Trumpet which is fine with me as we all have different views on things,I do think it's plain daft to call for the managers head like he and a few others have but hey ho.

I am eager though to find out if he has anything good to say about yesterday at all,I aren't sure if he has posted yet tbh though

Probably sitting at home furiously polishing his Spunk Trumpet.

It's nice to have a win but we need to be a bit more honest here.  MK Don's didn't want to know.  They didn't compete and had zero intent to attack.  I thought we played ok, but that's about all.  We were sloppy with the ball for periods and nowhere near clinical enough in front of goal.

Walters had a good game but just like at Colchester he has let's his man run past him consistently and then points at him as if he is passing him on, except often there is no spare man to pick him up.  He did it a few times yesterday but due to MKs lack of intent, we got away with it.

Stockley and Garrity returning is a big plus for us and having Clark and John available to play as wing backs is also a bonus as it does give us balance.

I am delighted to get the points but I dont think much changes apart from the result.

We have to win the next 2 games, no excuses.

Have we heard that Headley is out for the whole season? Playoffs potentially and all?

The only thing I couldn’t fathom - admittedly a very minor thing - was why, at the start of the 2nd half, he allowed their keeper to hold onto the ball for a ridiculous amount of time, and I mean like maybe 45 secs. Surely if it had been the other way it would have been a yellow for time wasting???

Maybe because he was wasting his own sides time as they were losing.

My mate who I watched it with was going crazy at the ref when this happened. Shouting all sorts of abuse at him, absolutely raging! I said leave him to it we are winning 😂 ffs I don’t understand why he had a problem with it hahahahaha. He’s another who just finds bizarre things to whinge about 🤦‍♂️

Nice to see so many positive comments and rightly so. Thought we started really well first 10 minutes and were unlucky not to be 2 up. The game then went quiet for a bit until Lorent stole the ball and broke into the area and finished beautifully. We then had another period where balls were fed into their area and they were hanging on. 2nd half we again pressed and 2 great finishes saw out a comfortable game. MK have a decent squad but their playing style isn't suitable for L2. Great to see we are getting back to a near full squad. Keep our key players fit and we have a great chance of getting into and staying in the top 3.

It's good to know that every player will have there position challenged .

Ten to go 30 points are achievable no such thing as no chance there's every chance.

I can only say what I see but the tenacity Tolaj showed for his goal was excellent and finished with his weaker foot .

The lad Stockley well all afternoon they couldn't handle him he was player of the match for the sponsors yesterday and you can see why they went for him such a lovely ball in by Curtis for his goal .

As for other teams here who I think will get promotion and it's based on 1 thing clean sheets for the season

Wimbledon Colchester and another .

What was very pleasing yesterday is we didn't concede so that's 13 for Vale

Wimbledon 17 Colchester 16 Walsall 12

Garrity back and scoring excellent .

My marks

Amos 6 routine save kicking better than Tues

Clark 6 didn't see him take off like I expected

Henegan 7.8 gives us threat from long throws and corners glad see him back never once out of position defensively either his header which started the magnificent 3rd goal.

Debrah 7 not fazed did his job well

Hall 7.8 strong performance from one of the 3 best defenders in league 2 needs add goals to his game .

John 8.2 his run to initialise the 2nd goal well that's what he is all about ,his defensive excellence shows gamely and a main cog in Vale for me best performances this season .

Byers 7.5 got his foot in kept the shape of the Vale defensively and will be a main cog in last 10 ,forward passing wise keeps the Vale calm in possession.

Walters 8.3 who is this boy showing real confidence and he looks strong and disciplined very good .

Curtis 9 ran his proverbials off ,2 assists and his showing his worth, and excellence ,crowd encourager who spent more time cheering a inflatable dick lmao .

Stockley 8 .8 goal ,won his battle meaning mk were going come under seige if Vale showed attacking intent which they did till 2nd goal then he was substituted he was immense 10 more please

Tolaj 7 great goal worked his proverbials off shot straight at keeper second half and had a glorious chance what was deflected over .

All in all starting 11 very good special mention to big Jerry the pass to Curtis superb more of that going hive him a 7 for that pass alone .

Garrity goal and he his back the crowd noise went up considerably when he entered the fray .

He gets a 8 because everyone loves him

Clarke and John got to be the best wing backs in this league by a country mile. We look so balanced when they both play.

Happy Sunday y’all

I couldn’t agree more – throw Headley into the mix with another LWB next season and it’s looking very good.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Mitch. He’s out of contract after two injury-hit seasons, but each injury has been pretty unlucky, not the kind of recurring muscle injuries you often worry about. If he can get through the final ten games, I think he definitely deserves another 12 months at least.
