Am I wrong or are we a single decent win removed from a stretch of 4 pretty horrid games? Don't think we should consider anything set in stone formation-wise after a single good performance.

And yeah, Curtis is a good player but if Garritty is fit then it's a question of who drops out of the side to accommodate him. I just happen to think a midfield three of Croasdale, Walters and Garrity behind a front two of Tolaj and Stockley is our strongest set-up right  now.

If you didn't see him suck any defenders out of position then you didn't watch the MK game! If you have the ability, go to the replay and go to 56:22 in the second half. Walters baits in 4 defenders and zips past all of them with wonderful skill before drawing a foul. Imagine him doing that on the edge of the box.

The problem here is your imagining him dancing around defenders on the edge of the box..if only it was that simple...any chance you can imagine my lottery numbers for this weekend aswell 🤔🤣🤣🤣 UTV VTID

Yeah, lovely bit of skill. 👍

What am I reading on here .

Curtis is nothing special ,I think you will find he is a very good player who totally deserves his place in the side at present .

His workrate alone on sat was major impressive if he carries on like he is he will be into double figures for assists after these 3 home games .

Byers his fine no assists yet but with him out injured so long, he as got get to full match fitness ,he is leading in that middle and barking out orders left ,right and centre, and ain't it is job break up play not create and keep Vale in possession.

You will see value of him in last 10 and don't forget he is used to receiving passes from defenders who are much quicker, better , and from a higher level ,he will have to adjust to what league 2 defenders play like .

Walters is doing very well ,but to say you would rather have him in team ,than Byers is bizarre ,Walters is surrounded by good players and he is a good player himself but I ain't choosing over Byers Croasdale or Garrity if have 2 games in week Moore , can keep it fresh now Harper has not been getting selected and he scored winner v Salford ,and regularly gets into scoring positions .

Chislett is quality too

So all of a sudden Vale go into last 10 with a freshness other teams quite simply haven't got .

All will have to play there part .

Garrity back, is like a day of leisure walking puppy ,going gym and swim and having a lovely meal out if put it into context of how good it is have him back .

He will and has already put a extra step and more heart into the sagging Vale support .,as soon as come on the crowd cheered louder brilliant 👏

I didn't expect him back so soon it's truly great news.

Bring on the last 10 got me Crewe ticket in me Google wallet .

We can’t drop Curtis. He is proven at a higher level and makes things happen. He’s been excellent since getting this long run in the side and should not be dropped just because Garrity is fit. Walters has done great so far, but for me when Garrity is fit he comes into the side alongside Byers and Croasdale if DM wants to play a 3.

For me, at home, I’d like to see Byers with Garrity and then Tolaj, Curtis alongside Stockley

Well I'm clearly against the tide here but I really don't think it's as clear cut as you all are making it out to be. Curtis has had a couple good games recently but has a season of mediocre performances to make up for. 9 goal contributions in 32 appearances isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.

And as for Byers, I really hope you're right as he if he plays anywhere near the level we thought he would when we signed him then we should be a shoe-in for autos. As of now though, the skill that he supposedly brings to the team just hasn't been there and if he can't get balls into attackers in dangerous areas then why is he on the pitch?

And Walters is 19, game-time is like gold for him right now. Give him consistent time on the pitch and he could develop into our best player by far.

Yes, I thought that, Croasdale to Curtis and we might have scored.

I don’t think anyone is saying that any particular formation is set in stone, DM will still most likely take a horses for courses approach, there will definitely be games where we play 2 up top, maybe even just 1. For me a forward line of Curtis, Stockley and Tolaj gives us a really nice blend of athleticism, strength and height, plus a goal threat. I’m not suggesting any other players couldn’t fill in for any of those 3 but to me that looks about the best blend.

I’d still rather see Garrity in midfield myself, but having just returned from injury he may have to wait another week unless we start him and give him 60-70 minutes.  Either way with the players available we don’t need to be risking anyone.  What’s really blown things wide open has been the performances of Walters in midfield, which is great, gives the manager another headache.

If you want to watch replays, watch the most recent Access All Areas video and keep your eye on Curtis.

For the remaining games, Moore is going to have to move players around - and we need to get used to it.

I don't think we can afford to reply on this player or that player saving our season.  We're going to need the whole squad to contribute from time-to-time.

Ben, Byers, Stockley are all coming back from injury and wont be fully fit yet.  To expect them to contribute too much is unrealistic.  However, we're bloody hard to beat and, if everyone chips in - and we, the fans, play our part too, I still believe we'll go up on autos.  I'm also thinking that Walsall wont make the autos - they'll be on the play-offs but wont get through.  Just a feeling

Has anyone else noticed, during the lead up to the Garrity goal, both Omolu and Curtis got cleaned out just after passing the ball. All of it was behind the ref's back of course.

Yes, noticed that at the match. 👍

Yep! Byers doesn't add much to the team. We brought him in to be our deep-lying playmaker and our primary creator but he just hasn't been good. 0 assists on the season. I watch the guy every week, hoping for the quality that was promised when we signed him but it just isn't there. Walters showed fantastic ball-carrying and determination last game and IMO absolutely earned another start with his performance.

And Curtis is a fine player but he's nothing special. Our best front three is Stockley/Tolaj/Garrity

I think you are getting a bit carried away. rw did a couple of tricks in midfield that didn't amount to anything but he hasn't got any assists or goals curtis got two assist in the same game and your best front three have never even played together as a front three so you seem to be basing your opinions on fantasy rather than reality. I prefer to stick to commenting on what I have seen with my own eyes rather than waste my time on fantasy. rw has potential but he is still developing.

Well maybe I'm being a little silly regarding Curtis, he's actually been contributing and arguably deserves his spot.

Rhys needs to play against Morecambe though. It's too late in the season to cross our fingers and hope Byers gets fully into shape and into form. Give the kid another start and see how high he can fly

There's no question the Team perfomed well last Saturday and It's certainly looking positive for the final run in but (and there's always a but) I'm still worried about the injury situation and whether the recent returnees can last the time we need them on the pitch. Players like Garrity (for instance) are pivotal.

We shall see soon enough. Fingers crossed because we definitely deserve to be promoted.
