Agreed, but against clubs at the bottom? Score first and pile the pressure on them.

Oh absolutely, next 2 homes and Bradford too , same 3 up top.

Agreed, horses for courses.

Sadly DM be castigated either way he goes.

But it would be madness to go Crewe,Walsall and Wimbledon away with 3 up top.

I personally would against Crewe on a small pitch who usually play 3CB’s and try to play.

Big ball merchants Walsall and Dons absolutely no chance.

Isn't there a rule about goalies can only keep ball in their hands for so long. Not sure what the penalty is, booking , or free kick the other way ? Appreciate when you are ahead they are wasting their own time but if it's a free kick then worth moaning about.

Don't know what the rule is now, but next season if the keeper has the ball for more than 8 seconds, then the ref gives a corner.

Haha. I can still vividly remember watching that from the away end behind the goal at the far side of the ground.

You could see it coming a good 5 seconds beforehand, as big Bob chugged his way across the pitch to scythe down their guy on the touchline!

Great tackle! 😆

No nonsense defending!

Jesus looking at our line up on that video - it's like a role call of vales greatest, what a time that was to be a vale fan - unbelievable 😂

So, <ovf censored> here, forgot to bring my coat with me yesterday, so had to nip in to he club shop and buy something or get frozen to death for the weekend.

Bought myself a soft shell Vale jacket. Very fetching indeed.

Jump forward to today. I'm staying overnight with Mrs Osh. In Liverpool.  Just walking through thousands of young Scousers all dressed in red and unhappy about today's result.  And I'm the only one wearing a different teams name on my jacket.

Ooopppssies

I'm just amazed that:

1. UV still got the coat

2. Ur still alive

🤣🤣🤣Well done Oshy, well done 😍😍

Terrific to win and bag the 3 points after the previous frustration of a loss and 3 draws. The old axiom of "You can only beat what's in front of you" is very true and MK Dons were one of the poorest teams I've seen at Vale Park this season, little attacking intent, tippy tappy football, 4 reverse gears/1 forward and little fight or determination, they got what their play deserved.

Lovely finishes by Tolaj, Stockley and Garrity, I thought Garrity was very modest about his finish, he would likely not have tried a cute <ovf censored> like that when he first came to the club.

Winning the next 2 home games will fill the Vale with confidence in preparation for the next 3 games which will be a much sterner test than MK Dons.

That's exactly what Smithy should have done to Tovide. 😂😂

Yep, six seconds. No idea what the penalty is for breaking this rule cuz it’s never implemented.

He’d have needed an ebike to get there though.

I don't think Garrity's best position isn't in central midfield, he needs to be further up the pitch. We want him on the end of passes, getting flick-ons from Stockley and Tolaj, not sitting deep in midfield. Have him run himself to death then bring on Curtis in the second half.

Honestly I wish DM would stop playing 5 at the back and put the extra CB into midfield so we could play a central 3 of Byers, Croasdale and Walters. Perfect blend of defense, passing and ball carrying IMO. But if that doesn't happen, I still think Walters has earned another start, we've been dying for someone that will actually take their man on and be direct without immediately losing the ball.

You are just desperately trying to squeeze walters in anywhere you can to the detriment of other, better, players. Curtis on the bench to make room for Walters is crazy talk. Garrity couldn't have played either of the balls that curtis did for his two assists on Saturday nor would garrity have scored the kind of goals curtis scores they are different players and garritys strengths are best utilised in midfield.

I think walters has potential but for me he hasn't done anywhere near enough to warrant a starting spot when we have better options available.

Can't see him playing three up top away from home. I can see him starting Garrity from now on (quite rightly), and that means sacrificing a forward or a midfielder.

At home I think it means Walters drops out, away I think Curtis gets shoved out with Tolaj and Stockley up front.

neither do I which is why I said so did you misread what I wrote? I said three up top at home but I think he will play two up top away.
