The travelling support deserve a refund. At least they turned up unlike the players.

They should know by now what they're getting themselves into.

I don't think I'm ever going to like what we do with the current people in charge of the football in ST6. Today I took myself away from the situation after half an hour for my own wellbeing and for that I am proud of myself.

It's over now, enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'm going to go out and get something nice shortly.

On on.

Not sure about that. The better teams in the division - those challenging for the automatics - generally find a way. It sounded - and I can only go off Bowers commentary - like we created little and were overrun for most of the game against a team on a shocking run of form.

We've found a way to win in 8 of our last 10. We're not just challenging for the automatics, we're a win ahead of anyone else.

We weren't going to win forever. Gills weren't going to lose forever.

Not that bothered about the loss. It happens in tight games and it will happen again. They're a solid team who were just on a bad run. But why is Hackford getting on ahead of Tolaj and Paton? His overall game is shocking.

Just about to head back so just quick thoughts on the game.

Referee absolute dogshit. For both sides. The amount of blatant fouls he didn’t give, and then the really soft stuff he would give was unreal. Sadly he’s cost us the game though. Where I was sat it was an absolute blatant pen on Curtis. Then also a blatant foul in build up to their goal.

Having said that we were crap. Moore made the wrong subs. Chislett was too slow for the way we were playing. Richards had a shocker and I thought he was still better than Chislett. Debrah worst game of the season.

But people shouldn’t lose their heads. We had to lose at some point. 0-0 was deserved from that even though we were crap.

Also hope the clowns starting on Ripley at the end have a good look at themselves. Yes his kicking towards the end was absolute dogshit. But stop abusing our own players ffs

Bit disappointing that we allowed ourselves to get dragged into a scrap instead of showing a bit more composure and using the ball better.

Gillingham we're so methodical  nothing more in fact as boring as,it was the most tepid ,half hearted ,lousy football match .

,We turned in a lacklustre display in fact they were not  bothering us but our mindset  was  so defence minded we come for a 0-0 and managed lose because 2 players switched off as Grant was pushed over and Shorrock wasn't doing his job as he is a kid who totally ain't ready but  what the hell was J Debrah doing he was not even watching the ball it was diabolical play the worst of the worst they were playing for a 0-0 aswell and won .

Stockley should score simple as that and the pens a pen every day of week

Still top but in  future go out and play like your a top of the league team not like a we go there for a point negative set up .

Beat ourselves today .

Eating a bit at South Mimm’s services before the long drive, but that was toothless crap. It was basically like a league 1 away match from last season, you knew we wouldn’t score, so it was just a case of when the opposition would score.

The good news is, today was so much worse than anything else I have seen this season, it makes you realise how good we have been recently.

Also fair play to them. They looked crap tbh and offered nothing. However they pressed us very well and forced us into lumping it. Which especially after Stockley had gone off left us with nothing.

Did they deserve to pay more when we won the last 3 away on the bounce?

Win lose or draw you expect players to work hard and put a shift in. They never did that today. The players should feel embarrassed by that today.

It's funny because if Stockley scores his tap-in, we probably see out another 1-0 win and everyone is chuffed that we're solid and keeping the margins low and winning whilst not playing particularly well.

He didn't miss because Moore's subs were poor, or the players weren't bothered and should be dipping into their pockets for the travelling fans, or because Debrah had a night

The performance would have been the exact same but the tone would have been the polar opposite. Folk need a beer, let the emotional frustration of the loss dissipate, and take stock of how good of a position we're in. It's genuinely brilliant.

It's just massive outcome bias. They worked as hard as they usually do, but lost. Stockley scores his tap-in and there's no comment on effort.

Hopefully that performance and consequent result will have brought everyone back down to earth. Our unbeaten run was going to end eventually. Not bothered about Wrexham, we now need to be focussed on a result at Morecambe.

To be honest Rory, I find your standpoint on the people in charge of football a bit of a head scratcher…. but each to their own

Enjoy the night out.

Think a bit of complacency set in today. Thought we could just turn up and roll them over, but it doesn't work like that. A few players just didn't look up for it.

No surprise at the lack of chances. Grant gives us absolutely no threat from LWB, so hopefully John or Hart can get some minutes in next week. Jesse has been brilliant this season, but was very poor today. Him and Sang looked very disjointed together. Richards and Chizzy also offered nowt.

We're still top and we play bottom of the league next week. Praying that loss gives us a kick up the arse and we get our heads back on and put it right against Morecambe.
