Can someone enlighten me on why the Reading fans are protesting against the owner? Like what's he done?

Is he someone from the Smurthwaite playbook - ie buy the club with no intention of improving it, sell any half decent players, everything done on the cheap etc?

Fundamentally the club spent money they didn't have, now both he and the club have run out of money.  I don't have a lot of sympathy with either the club or the fans over the way they shafted us with the John Clarke transfer 2 years ago. They made approaches to the player behind the clubs back. Didn’t see their fans complaining about the morality of it. Vale ended up cutting their losses and letting him move. They have invested millions in infrastructure (training facilities) they can't afford to repay in league 1.

John Clarke? Honestly can't remember him.

Youth team leftback and now Republic of Ireland under 19 international. Player a few games last season for Reading, then got a bad injury.

Wonder what side will turn up - the charity side or the ruthless side who takes all three points and scores a hat full?

Radio sjoke just said the game may be stopped and played behind closed doors later tonight due to the Reading fans planning pitch invasions to get the game abandoned.  Feel sorry for the Vale fans who have travelled down to watch the game.  Why not just stop the Reading fans getting in and allow the Vale fans in to watch the game.

Bench is so weak, if we fall behind there aren’t many good options on there. Not sure why Sang is left out.

Shows we need a good transfer window and bring some better players in.  Injuries have taken their toll on this side.  But not going to hold my breath we get a good transfer window.  We don't usually.
