Defending ?

put your foot through it- Row Z 😄

As its still panto time on the pitch, they will all say - oh no its not - you pass it sideways and then watch opposition run on to it and put the defender you passed the ball to under pressure and make a mistake.

They wont be worried about the lack of crowd.  They will put it down to playing Charlton, rather than Vale fans are beginning to think I can listen to the game, rather than spend money going to watch a defence throw points away.

I know I can come across as a HCC fan boy but who can go home from that game not having been thrilled (and appalled) in equal measure - what a ride 👍👍👍👍

Agreed and today very poor as we had 1,000 more for Blackpool on a Friday night. Today was league 2 numbers and staying away because you don’t like Crosby is basically starving the club.

You never play possession based football when you have the defenders that we do. It's been madness from the beginning. And our actual best ball playing defender (Dan Jones) is someone that you almost forget is at the club at times due to how much he's missing.

It's no coincidence that we've performed much better and actually looked a goal threat as we did today, and also against Wigan, when we were much more direct. Trying to make us into a footballing side with the players we have is just ignorance on Crosby's part. I'm all for it if we have the players for that but we quite simply don't.

You do if you've only got one or no fit centreforwards.  Our standard goal to give away isn't a defender passing the ball to the other team. It's been not tracking runners into the box.

Uche was brilliant today, holds it up with no or little support then most of the time his options arent close to him, easy man of the match for me, as he was in the last two games as well

Yeah, had a good game. But even Sproson and Bowers were decrying how many times he gave the ball away and put us on the back foot

He did all I've ever wanted from him today, plus he scored.

I don't expect goals from uche but h can be a real asset to us if we get that from him every 2/3 games.

Held it up superbly, never gave them a minute at the back and they couldn't handle his strength.

He was an absolute pain in the arse today and that's what I want from him.

I want more than just that

Karls locked in a cellar somewhere 🤣

Radio Sjoke seem to be concentrating on sjoke fans at the moment - but there is still time for him to come on.

It always feels like a win when you score such a late equaliser, so this weekend isn't going to feel that bad but our defending is a real concern. We just seem to lack any solidity and, amazing for professional footballers, when to put your laces through the ball and send it into Row Z. Even more surprising is the fact that Crosby has a reputation as a decent coach and was a defender himself. Blame the players, of course, but today's defending was in a league of its own.

From poor attacking earlier in the season to poor defending - Crozzer needs to get this right, as well as learning how to see a game out. Perhaps he will when we reconstruct our midfield after injuries though I have my doubts.

Only 20 points to go from 21 games and it seems like a mountain at our current rate of progress.

More than a few attendances last January.

Money talks. It’s the only way a club starts to listen.
