Being a big club for the league doesn't make them a good team though. They're only just above us in the league for a reason, and can't buy a win away from home.

Every team in the league will have two or three standout players somewhere in the side and they're no exception. 4 points from them in 6 is fine when you look at it that way. But today we still gifted them a draw.

I suspect on their forum there will be similar comments.  Poor defending with the penalty.  Out muscled by Uche for the second. Failed to close down Massey at all for the 3rd.

The players at fault for 2 of the goals were Uche and Devine.

Because Crosby selected a clearly unfit defender that shouldn't have been on the pitch and didn't sub him off until what, the 35th minute? Playing with 10 men against anyone is always difficult.

It did look that way but the player also had take responsibility and say if he’s not fit to play.

Maybe because until a couple of weeks ago we had Ojo and Arblaster in midfield.  We now have Uche with Wilson and Chislett just behind. Maybe trying to play the game where our best players are on the pitch.

You never play possession based football when you have the defenders that we do. It's been madness from the beginning. And our actual best ball playing defender (Dan Jones) is someone that you almost forget is at the club at times due to how much he's missing.

It's no coincidence that we've performed much better and actually looked a goal threat as we did today, and also against Wigan, when we were much more direct. Trying to make us into a footballing side with the players we have is just ignorance on Crosby's part. I'm all for it if we have the players for that but we quite simply don't.

not for me mate, yes it's questionable alfie should of got rid or not played it to sang but for it to go through his legs when he's facing the other way it's comical. It was an easy enough ball to control but i can see it from both ways 👍🏻

In the end, I thought that game was something of a classic, but actually I felt it was in someways very similar to the Carlisle game in that we gave away two goals and played better attacking stuff throughout. 3-3 was about right, but had we not made a couple of mistakes it could have been a justified win.

To an extent, but no footballer is ever going to say that really if they have any sort of appetite to play which you would hope they all have.

The attendance has to be a big concern for the club.

They wont be worried about the lack of crowd.  They will put it down to playing Charlton, rather than Vale fans are beginning to think I can listen to the game, rather than spend money going to watch a defence throw points away.

Defending ?

put your foot through it- Row Z 😄

They were there for the taking so I'm not happy with the result, far from it. 2 points dropped for me.

But it was a good game and we at least looked more than capable going forward which is a far cry to most of the season. Ikpeazu makes a huge difference even if he won't score many himself.

First up, cracking game.  A neutral should have loved that.

Some real positives for us, I thought there were some great performances in there. Uche, massey, chislett, Wilson first half.

Showed character to come back three times.

Defensively, wow!!! Absolutely cataclysmic defending.  I mean some of the worst I've seen.  It's literally the opposite of Narnia at Vale Park, forever Christmas!

Handed them each of their three today and that is shocking.

We need a rethink back there.  Three centre backs, giving away goals for fun.

Some of the defending was so bad I’m not sure there’s the right word to describe but walking out the Hamil End hearing multiple people say how much they’ve enjoyed today and it was fun to watch give me this over what we were serving up before.

Well done Uche and Massey today. I thought they were both outstanding and fully deserved their goals. I don’t want to hear Ale & The Vale podcast do anything but praise Uche for today!

Hold on a minute. The amount of times he took the ball down the passed it to their players instead of Willow or Chris was nuts. Think he get better later in the game but we need to be careful. If he could pass he'd be a good player
