Entertaining match. On another day we win that 5-3.

29 shots, 12 on target. Their keeper has pulled off a couple of extraordinary saves for this level.

If we could defend we'd be dangerous!

We've now scored 11 times in our last 4 x home league games which is quite some going after the barren spell.

Thought the subs were poor for us today. Dipepa is nowhere near on that cameo showing. Shows the lack of depth with the volume of injuries we have. Neither Debrah nor Sang were anywhere near 100% fit. Reinforcements needed.

Yeah, had a good game. But even Sproson and Bowers were decrying how many times he gave the ball away and put us on the back foot

Sproson & bowers chat garbage i wouldn't listen too much to what they say

Quite like Bowers. Sproson bores me.

Oh, and we need to bare in mind, their keeper made 5 or 6 first class saves today. The one from Alfie where he had to change direction and tip it over the bar was just superb

If it wasn't for him, and the fact we should have had another pen in the first half, we could have scored 5 or 6

Should have won by a mile today. Their keeper was fantastic as well

You do if you've only got one or no fit centreforwards.  Our standard goal to give away isn't a defender passing the ball to the other team. It's been not tracking runners into the box.

We can debate all day about stuff but ultimately it's pretty clear that we're a much better side when we stop pissing around on the ball at the back and in midfield. That doesn't mean you have to be a long ball team, not at all.

A game that summed up the frustrations around us at the minute.

Going forward I thought we looked really dangerous. Chislett and Wilson linked up brilliantly and Massey had one of his best games for us. I thought Uche was really poor until his goal, which seemed to wake him up. His first touch is atrocious and he gave away possession far too often. Wilson missed a sitter first half; Dipepa stole it off Uche's toes; we had at least 10 on target.

Defensively it was carnage, and a big, aerially dominant CB is the number 1 requirement for this window. Lowe should not be starting every week - nowhere near physical enough. Get someone like Brad Hills in. Devine shouldn't have faffed about with it for their 2nd. We switched off for a flick on for the 1st.

We're struggling to hit the balance at the minute. We either have games of few goals or games of loads of them. I guess that's part of being an inconsistent mid-table side.

For the accusations that things are boring, however, I simply can't agree. 3-2, 2-3, 3-0, 3-3 in our last 4 home games. It's value for money even if we aren't getting the results as consistently as we'd want. Really enjoyed it.

Again, Crosby does just enough to keep himself afloat.  There has to be 3-4 decent signings this window, especially at CB and in midfield. You'd hope for 4 points from the next two. I still think things will have settled down by the end of January and we'll sort of meander to 14th.

A point is a point, and Uche and Massey had excellent games, but the defending was non league standard. What really annoyed me was the substitution which completely lost our momentum when Charlton were really struggling.

Two points dropped today I feel.

Cost me £95.

At least Stjoke lost (well, it is Saturday!) Won £15 for that

Live football eh. You just never know what to expect. My money was on 0-0 after 10 minutes lol.

Charlton fans saying they were robbed !!! Come on guys Vale could and should have won 7-3.

The squad is looking threadbare but what an effort !

First up, cracking game.  A neutral should have loved that.

Some real positives for us, I thought there were some great performances in there. Uche, massey, chislett, Wilson first half.

Showed character to come back three times.

Defensively, wow!!! Absolutely cataclysmic defending.  I mean some of the worst I've seen.  It's literally the opposite of Narnia at Vale Park, forever Christmas!

Handed them each of their three today and that is shocking.

We need a rethink back there.  Three centre backs, giving away goals for fun.

Now I’m staying away and watching from home it’s interesting listening to  Sproey and Yatsey in recent games. Both think it’s questionable with 3 CB’s on our pitch with the players we have. Sproey was saying today our defence is too slow to cover the spaces. He said the pitch is generally too big for 3CB’s without leaving huge gaps out wide. Can’t disagree with them.
