If you think being a paying supporter entitles you to see only good times,  you may wish to go support one of these big corporate premier league clubs.

All due respect I'm getting a little bored of hearing the misery amplified, appreciate the moaners are passionate about the vale, and has te be said it has been a bit frustrating of late... But let's be realistic. some of our squad are league 2 standard, nowt can change that, it shows how well they were doing earlier in the season on that run we had.

Anyhow point I'm making, is if we support these lads when there down on there luck might make more of a difference than changing manager, you could see how much our support meant to Uche away at burton , he not only wants to score for his own record, he wants to score for the fans and the support they've shown in his 'can't hit a barn door' phase, Same with the other boys, they already their own biggest critics. Personally it's lazy ness and poor attitude that I struggle to get behind.. God knows we've had em over the years.. championship potential, homer simpson work rate, I can forgive our squad for being technically average with the odd mistake, as long as they doing their best, surely its forgivable when your little ole Port Vale.

So please get behind the boys, and Crosby until January. Id like to see good atmosphere round the club in time for the cup games. Who knows? topple Boro at Vale Park and we could have us a shot at slaying a giant.

my foolish Prediction today: 3-0 te Vale , Uche to score a wonder volley off his shin, massey to lob the keeper from a drasticly over hit deep cross  , then the classy young walters to curl a late third into the top corner...

You can get behind them at the games and still be critical and want Crosby out. I was at burton supporting them but wanted Crosby sacked.

Glad you are not travelling down with me. I hope we win 3-0 then win Tuesday and beat Wigan before beating Boro on penalties. I think Crosby should go but its not damping my desire for the Vale to thump Exeter today !

The only way I’d be happy with a win today is if it’s the start of us turning it around. However everything I’ve seen so far has made it pretty clear to me that it won’t change, so a win today just delays the inevitable and costs us more points in the long run.

Ive sat through over 20 years of bad times.... what do you think people who moan should do? Pretend weve scored a goal? Pretend were not crap? If people want to remain optimistic good for you.

but as a paying fan i am entitled to show my dissatisfaction of what has been an absolute terrible 3 months.

do i want Crosby and vale to turn it around of course i want us to, do i think we will? No

For me the best course of action is to get someone with experience in before we slip beyond repair. And until i see otherwise over a series of games that will be my standpoint. And as the more games go on the more and more its starting to become worrying

The squad is virtually unrecognisable from the squad that was promoted. Of the 21/22 squad, only Smith, Cass, Garrity, and Conlon remain. We've signed dozens of players since we were in that division.

How on earth have we then, in your eyes, ended up with a squad that is partly League 2? Surely a huge failure of our specialist recruitment department? Sounds like you're amplifying the moaning and misery to me mate!

It's a weird argument that if you're not happy with being the 2nd worst performing professional football team this calendar year (after Forest Green Rovers) that you are a massive gloryhunter who would only be happy at Arsenal.

Is there not a middle ground between glory-hunting and being fairly satisfied with 8 wins in 39 and putting up relegation-form for an entire calendar year? It's where I sit, personally. I don't expect to win every week or to be in the top 6. I do expect to see us win some games of football in League 1 as we have a budget that should allow us to.

Aye, I know what the Crosby outers are saying, when I say league 2 players I mean in terms of quality, so I'm in agreement that recruitment hasn't been ideal.. but we gonna have to work with what we got for now.

You go ahead voice your displeasures, I've no bother with that, but I hope you manage to enjoy it if Crosby and the boys do turn it around as unlikely as it seems, I'll eat humble pie and join you in calling for change if things don't turn around by January.

To be honest what's prompted me to post is the borderline hate shown to the boys in the stands that I find tiring, remember there are young families about. Again love the passion.. but there is a line...

I am disappointed with we're at in the league. Just trying to pluck a bit of hope, probably a fools hope. I think? at least one thing both sides of this argument have in common is we both want the best for vale. I haven't a clue whether or not Crosby is the best, perhaps mystic meg knows.

hope you have a good weekend

I think most fans haven't been hateful. There hasn't been any real showings of outright animosity. Considering how poor we've been all year, I think (as usual) the vast majority fans have been very patient. The odd aggressive loudmouth tarnishes the entire fanbase when, in reality, Port Vale fans have put up with a load of crap for decades and have mostly turned up week after week without really kicking off - apart from at people actively trying to fold the club. Of the 5000ish diehards, 4500 are fairly reasonable people.

Aye, I understand, as I said to the other poster replying, call for change by all means, im speaking more to the fans that go too far with there emotions. I felt someone's flem spray me for two lines back, yelling every rotten word under sun with raw rage, some people seem like they literally want his head on pike...  obviously it's a minority.  A protest outside the club after the games would probably have more chance of changing something.

Anyway I'm done responding on this thread, we all have our own onions on the matter, let's hope things get better one way or another

Tbf, unlike last season where the players got abuse (especially at Accrington for clearly downing tools), I think the fans have stuck with the players. Any proper moaning and booing (other than the pricks that boo Massey on to the pitch) from what I've seen has been directed at Crosby and his tactics. Fans can see that the players are giving 100%, but are being hamstrung by boring, negative tactics.

What if........just what if it starts to click? I called for his head after Northampton. But, despite my anger, just what if it does click today? I saw 12 without a win under Rudge and also 17 without a win under Rudge, albeit both after promotions. I feel it is too late to sack him now as there is no chance for a window repair for a new guy.

I am staying awake for this 'el Crapico', you all know football, this could go down as a barn storming game or a one man and his dog  game.

Prediction: 3-0 either way. Or 0-0, , or 4-3.

Aye, it's all good mate, as you say it's a minority, too much beer, a hard week, and bad football can a bad mix, I've been there... I welcome their passion for valwe just hope they spare a thought for the elderly, and younger fans.. officially bowing out for this thread for now.
