To think they've actually scored less goals than us so far this season is quite remarkable. 0-0 outcome? Then it'll be a good point on the road, we dominated possession, we've got players coming back upto match fitness, the philosophy is starting to work, we got balls in the box, we stopped them from playing, the effort was there & we keep going & plugging away in what we're trying to imply into the players. 🥱

Dont quote me on this but I think they have actually been playing a centre half up front due to injury and flogging their strikers in the summer (Diabate)

We went 12 games without a win under Rudge sometime around 86 or 87. It was the season we sold Jones and we bought Mills and Ford. Really need a win and someone to score some goals this Saturday.

We did 14 in 2018 Beat Luton 4-0 Dec 30th next win was Chesterfierld on Good Friday! (we actually went 11 without a win early that same season!)

I forsee a similar game to the last few. Tidy possession in midfield without ultimately creating anything, Loft on for Uche after an hour, fluffs two clear cut chance that could win us the game, Exeter score a winner in the last ten minutes.

I’m not of a hirer and firer mentality, but a manager who sends a team out like that, then uses the same automatic substitutions, will definitely lose the dressing room.

one aspect of our situation that I have not seen aired on here is that we have arguably the most productive youth system in my lifetime at the moment.

i wonder if the level of sophistication in setting up teams actually goes down for them when they get a go in the 1st team

It's a fact. and it can't be disputed. We're currently on 10 points from 10 away league games. 

It's also a fact that our home results are alarming and point very much in the wrong direction. 

Here's another angle. Two league wins between Saturday and December 29th would see us on 25 points at the halfway mark of the season's fixtures. It looks unlikely that 50 points would be needed to stay up so that should give all but the most chronic Vale depressive some hope.
