Where's the rumour come from that he' asked to speak to Charlton.

My understanding that Charlton made the approach first to Vale who then gave him permission to speak to them and not from Uche which means he is due his balance

I have never known a player to be transferred and the club has to pay up his contract. I just can't see how that could happen. Charlton come in for Uche, Vale agree to let him speak to them, then he goes and we pay a salary for a player we don't have. It's financial madness. Why would we agree to let a player move on if we still have to pay for him. Not having any of that.

Am i reading this right?
people think when a player leaves because another team has brought them they think the original club still has to pay their wages?

that is complete an utter crap if uche left vale wouldn't have to pay a penny more to him. He in affect is terminating his contract with us to sign a new contract with a new club.

Where loan deals are made the club loaning may stand some of the wages. There are two situations. Loaning for experience. Loaning out a temporarily unwanted player.

It is absolutely true though. The player could turn around and say I didn’t ask to leave, but you’ve agreed a fee (or he’s told he can leave for nothing because they want him out), so he asks for  a percentage of his wages. It is genuine.

100% correct but some on here think differently for some reason. If this were the case players would want to be transferred 4 times a season!

Uche is under contract, registered by us. He can break the contract, but then he wont play for anyone, unless we agree.

Re the nonsense that we agreed a fee and he can get the balance of wages while still been paid by us. Some weird folk out there.

It’s certainly a poser BJ has been so adamant about being correct regarding footballer contracts, he must be in the know.  Do clubs just add what is owed for the remainder of a contract to a player’s transfer fee?  There’s always talk about selling players to get their wages ‘off the books’ to save money, how does that work if a club has to pay up what’s left on their contract anyways, if they choose to leave?

Manchester United have agreed to send Dan Gore on loan to League One side Port Vale for the remainder of the season. The 19-year-old is eager to experience his first proper taste of professional football, with his exit set to be formalised sometime early next week.

The Manchester Evening News understands there was extensive loan interest shown in Gore this month, but Port Vale have offered the best assurances of regular football at a competitive level for the remainder of the campaign.

It doesn't work it's absolutel tripe. A player leaving means they leave there contract from their current club and sign one with the new employers It is absolutely bonkers to think otherwise.

look at the premier league they sell players to get them off their wage bill for ffp. Why woild they do that if they still had to pay them 😂😂😂 seem some mental things on this site but people believing we have to pay people for leaving is crazy
