I expect the players who have been brought in to strengthen the team to be played! This a really big game now. Anything that shows lack of effort and lack of professionalism could create a toxic atmosphere in the stadium. So please turn up and perform competently win or lose.

I presume this will be our annual first round exit in the league cup. I'm expecting a slight improvement in performance so perhaps port vale 0 Fleetwood 6.

I realise our history in this competition is possibly worse than any other club’s, but if we were to progress (FYI I’ve momentarily misplaced my tin foil hat) after Tuesday night and the fixture gods were being kind, who would we want in round 2 with the view of maximising income to put in the recruitment pot for the last 2 or 3 days of the transfer window?
