Backwards step with the pies, Wrights pies are local treasure.

Agreed. Even stranger is finding the clubs like Stevenage and Cambridge have had Wrights pies supply them. You could by a Wrights there…but not at Vale!

If you can ever get a pie at Vale you’ve done well. Wright’s have gone downhill over the past few years and are cardboard like with little taste, and usually hard as nails from my experience. We also had an issue last season didn’t we when there were none, wasn’t it rumoured there was a payment issue?

I get Doha’s non league comparison but it’s hardly like for like and I don’t see anyone paying that price unless it included free beer.

To be fair, I presume Hollands widens the choice to hot dogs? But a Wrights meat and potatoe pie is my only knowing nod to flexitarianism as a vegetarian. There is no way whatsoever I'll grant a rubbish Hollands pie or pasty any time or space  even a vegetarian one, and one million percent won't touch a hot dog made of cheap offal. Total yuke.

Given the Vale kiosks also serve rubbish coffee and rubbish beer they are just a no go zone now.

Based in Crewe Wright's sold out to a company from Nottingham 18 months ago, at least I won't get indegestion half way through the 2nd half now.

Sent from my SM-A217F using onevalefan mobile app

They moved to Crewe to open bigger factory capacity. But clearly Stoke on Trent, Kidsgrove and Newcastle are the main shop domain.

Don't get me wrong, Wrights Pies of today are not in my opinion equal in quality to when I first ate them in the early 1970s. But they are miles better in the moderately priced category to Hollands.

Don’t forget the awful tea. As a member of staff I am entitled to a free coffee/ tea. Do not take them up on that , even for nought!

I'm addicted to good coffee. Hence I never go to Costa either!
