  1. Will be there, but no problem with those who won’t. If I had something better to do I would do it. Left at half time v Oxford, cold and miserable. only going to see Vale mates for the last time until August.
  2. Long term plan for Vale fans is end of September.Bottom half of the table by then it will all kick off.
  3. Feel the same. Won two out of 17 matches. Not too much of an ask to win four then we would have stayed up.
  4. Very valid point this. If they do put in the effort will stay until the end. Have no intention of personally doing anything to the detriment of my club.
  5. It would if everybody did the same. Walking off the pitch in an empty ground.
  6. Watched him closely from the Railway Stand in the second half against Exeter. Time after time he was on his own against two men. People were screaming at him to get closer to the winger, but that just meant the midfielder with the ball could pick his pass at leisure. Seeing as no one ever did help couldn’t work out who was supposed to.
  7. No booing or abuse from me. Will show my dissatisfaction by leaving ten minutes from the end.
  8. Uche attended the Exodus G. School of jumping.😊
  9. Little to no chance. Which of our crocks/failures would you want in your league two team. Can’t think of any. Put yourself in the boots of any of them. Would you take say £20,000 to leave or hang on to get paid £80,000 in the next year. My answer would be NO DEAL. Only at Port Vale do we have a problem with signing off fees.😩
  10. Ray you are barred. Far to many sensible posts for OVF.
  11. Same here. Still remember the Siege of the Foaming Quart. That plus their big time Charlie attitude that they still have. Hope they fail in the play offs. Even resting players they will have ninty year old Cameron Jerome who played for Stoke in the 2000,s. Back him for a hat trick.
  12. Hampered by recruitment?. More like hog tied. Proven by Darren Moore also not able to get results from them.
  13. Never understood the combining of the ticket office/ club shop. Fine on non match days, but does not work at the other times. Can’t see how it has improved anything.Dozens of staff everywhere so three in the ticket office for a couple of hours costs next to nothing.
  14. Hope you are rewarded for your blind faith. Don’t have it myself having been let down too many times in the past.
  15. Not me. Have been known to put a £1 in out of my own pocket to make the tally right.😌
  16. Personally would like to see him move in the summer. Would become a target for the “ physical” centre halves in the bottom two divisions.
  17. Overlap of jobs. If the DoF sorts a player he likes and tells the manager it’s him or nothing what happens?. Suspect Andy Crosby was given that choice several times.
  18. Guess who’s back, back again. in the words of Eminem. Really pleased mate, your optimism has been missed.
  19. Brian Horton was a good Vale manager. Just off to get my tin hat ready for those that think differently.
  20. But he can defend. Isn’t that the job description of a right back?. ( Not a wing back that we don’t need two off.).

    Why???

Just had a look on the sports salary site. Colchester have a player on £10,000 a week and I now know why Ellis Harrison left. Not attempting to justify Uche,s money, but fear for football at our level in the long term. It is unsustainable.

    Why???

Seven months contract = £120, 000. IF he had scored goals that had kept Vale in this division money well spent. Who could foresee his series injury.?

    Why???

Figures looked pretty accurate to me. Uche has a short contract, and if he had kept us up would have been money well spent. Ojo was a marquee signing, setting the stall out. Smudgers low wage reflects he has come through the youth system. During my working life I only got a decent rise by changing companies. Last season Derby had TEN players on £9000 a week!! O
  24. Well, that’s reduced the forum by 95%!!
