I think some folk have got very short memories regarding previous owners whilst being blind to current improvements being undertaken by the current owners.  To criticise the Carol & Co. regarding lack of comms is very narrow minded in the grand scheme of things.  I’m all for an open club, and all for the Supporters Club playing taking an active role in that, but the bottom line is that fans don’t have a divine right to know every minute detail of the day to day goings on.  We’re given a forum but that’s still not good enough.  Is everything in the club hunky dory?  No.  Does it have to be? No.  Do we need to know?  Not really.

Spot on GR. Especially regarding football clubs some people want a piece of the action and or consider they should have a say when they have no real right to do so. Supporters, however well intentioned cannot expect to know the "Egg's arse" or everything that goes on at the club.

The club can't wash it's dirty linen in public all the time.

The Shanahan's have done a great job so far and your right, some folks do have short memories.

"Allez Carole" for me.

They had one eventually so clearly think you are talking rubbish.

Jean, having attended the JR event on Tuesday, didn’t Mark say that only a certain number of votes were allowed to be cast, I think he mentioned the number 800, because of a cost implication. Please feel free to correct me if I miss heard that.

Was anyone interviewed formally for the manager’s job apart from Crosby?

Were any of the players no longer at the club part of the group of senior players consulted regarding Clarke’s tenure?

What budget will Crosby be working with compared to what Clarke was given last summer?

What would the club consider as a success in terms of a final league position next season?

No chance that questions 2 or 4 will be answered

They don't want to keep talking about Clarke now, he's gone, don't dwell on the past

They should also refuse to comment on what they consider a success because there is absolutely no correct answer to that question, because if they give a number and finish below it, everyone is calling them a failure, and if the number they give is too low everyone will call them uninspiring and unambitious

That was the SC vote not the club one wasn’t it?

In fairness to him, Dan Townley has gone on the defensive today while acknowledging that comms have been really poor from the club on a number of issues. Fair play to him for fronting up.

I heard that Dan's Boss has left and joined Sjoke.

He left at the end of the season. Head hunted I believe.

Success is a higher league position than the season before, a good cup run is a bonus.

I don't think anyone is trying to push Carol out - that would be madness.  I don't think it's unreasonable to draw attention to some of the recent issues though - notably the Player of the Year fiasco.

You'd be surprised, I regularly see people saying we need new owners because we need more investment,

IMO,we need more investment and we would like more investment, are two completely different things.

BTW are Tim's views the official view of the SC or just Tim's views?

Is Tim Barber part of the SC these days still?

Tony Dyche posted on it and also Dave Thorley who is on the SC committee stated the following:

This should be chaired by Mark Porter with Carol, Flitcroft and Matt Hancock. Open questions from the floor. £5 admission all funds to the Rudge Statue.
That would show openness, cooperation with the SC and true fan engagement.

Let’s hope he takes Dan with him then.
