Match Thread: Port Vale v Plymouth Argyle

The issue with us is not our strikers. It's the service. Has been the same for years to last season, and again this season. We desperately need a quality centre midfielder who can take a game by the scruff of the neck and drive us forward. We could have Messi and Haaland up top and they'd struggle with our service.

Plymouth should be an inspiration, look at where they were 10 years ago, they are a Vale sized club as well

Do they have competition on their doorstep?

No, but at present our competition isn't doing too fantastically either, now is a golden opportunity

One way to go with this is sign an older player from a much higher level whose prepared to extend their career at Port Vale.

Get quality goalkeeper, centre half and centre forward.

But we have already spent 5 years budget in 4 years so that's not going to happen.

The league 2 budget. We went up against expectations and our attendances have been far higher than I ever expected. Surely our revenue must be up?

If there was 3926 Argyle fans there, no way does that stand hold 4500, it was rammed apart from half the last section nearest the Railway and all the aisles were full of people standing.
The seats would have to be counted for the safety certificate.

Everyone would have been standing up in the away end obscuring any empty seats,

The front 2 rows of the whole stand had nobody in them
