Yeah the ref couldn’t wait to stop the play for Oxford, certainly gave them all of the 50/50 decisions and some extremely dubious decisions especially at our corners.

I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact he’s from just outside the Oxford area.

Thought it was amazing that Politic was tripped yet he played "advantage" as it went to Conlon on the edge of the box. So he missed a penalty and a sending off for their number 18. Another appalling ref

Wigan is very close to Oxford

3-4-3 feels like the worst of a lot of worlds. Midfield two overran like some sort of training ground exercise, wing backs can’t exploit space because they’ve got wide forwards in front of them, the front three are two far apart to link up with each other.

We played 3-4-3 from January until late Feb to accommodate our No. 10 / AMF / bits and pieces type loan players because we didn’t have enough fit strikers to play a proper front two. If Garrity is fit and we have two fit centre forwards then I don’t think we go anywhere near that formation. Or at least I hope not.

The red card was fully deserved. Politic smashed the lad in the face with his elbow.

The lads face is a right mess

I can understand the argues for and against it being a red. He has jumped to win the header but he hasn’t thrown his Elbow back, like you usually see red cards for that type of incident. The ref took out a yellow to start with until the Oxford players started surrounding the ref - then I assume the Lino or 4th official said something in his ear piece.

after all the throwing themselves around the ground like they’d been shot at every tackle, I’m glad that DP gave them something to stay down for.

I know we’re in the <ovf censored>, but can you imagine if Vale turned up like they did today just doing everything for 1 point from the outset.

I didn't go today and can't comment on the game at all

Apologies for throwing off the post but just want to say thank to all the valiants who went today and applauded for Andy Edwards. A good friend of mine and one of the biggest vale fans I've ever met

That's two friends I've lost in three months. Not only vale fans but close friends.

Hard to go the games and feel anger nowadays. Life is short and whatever the outcome I'm just grateful I got to go games with friends and the enjoyed the good times and hopefully future ones

Win , lose or draw. Forever vale
