Wayne Rooney had a little pop at Southgate on Talksport this morning.

Southgate would not pick Rooney because he was out of form with Southgate telling him that he will only pick players on form. Then Rooney mentions so yesterday he picked Maguire, Phillips who are hardly playing at all

All blue eyed boys picked on past efforts . 

2 of the 3 don't even get picked at club level.

A really unimaginative and predictable squad with too many ifs and buts on fitness such as Walker and Philips.

Not so sure. Sherrif Tiraspol and Villa in the cup not a great yardstick. He's only notched against West Ham in the league since October. 

The guy who's notched against City today far more worthy of a place .

I see the England fans have arrived. This is a complete farce. They are as genuine as comical Ali during Gulf War II. Do the Qatari organisers expect us to believe this muck and go along the charade?

The damage has been done so may as well enjoy the football as it will be 4 years before there's another one. 

England will reach the KO stages but the first decent team they meet will likely end their chances unless Southgate has a radical  change of outlook and tactics.

Definitely,  and I think he knows it.

His interviews leading up to this, or at least the ones I've heard,  sound like they're from a man who doesn't really have any go in him for it.

He had his chance in the Euro’s, don’t think he has a chance in this World Cup, the venue doesn’t suit us and the squad isn’t as good as it was.
