Di Maria passed my test of a genuine trip. He fell down in a way where he could have hurt himself as opposed to a swallow dive whilst smiling at the referee.

While I thought the Bisht thing was a bit weird Messie handled it well and just got on with it. Personally, I would want to have my home colours on show for the event of the lifting of the biggest prize in football. True pro and well done to him for that. I thought it was more awkward for Infantimo or whatever his name to actual not want to let go of the trophy, Messi almost had to tell him to <ovf censored> off. Well done Argies, congrats.

Apart from them, I wouldn't swap any of our squad for theirs. Yet they won the tournament and we didn't.

I could say the same for that French side too. I'd only take 3 or 4.

Boils down to management. I like what Southgate has done so far, but he isn't a winner. 

It will be the same again at the Euro's. We'll beat Greece, Romania and Austria. Then play someone semi-decent and get eliminated.

Excellent World Cup from a tv watchers prospective, some great games and football and most probably the best final ever.

Sadly all too predictable from England but we don't have that player who can change a game on his own or a genius manager who can make a tactical difference. However in Jude Bellingham a star was born and hopefully he will become that player and together with the nucleus of that team England can go on and win a major tournament in my lifetime.
