Vale-Bournemouth- Most boring

02/03 I think ? 0-0 and pretty sure no one had a shot on target the whole game.

Brutal viewing

The Chasetown game still affects my sleep to this day.

See my above post, maybe time has fogged my memory and was Bournemouth and not Barnsley.

Vale home to Lincoln sometime in the 1960s. Vale won 4-0. The whole match was played in Lincoln's penalty area. Lincoln were pathetic. One of Vale's goals was a penalty for hand ball. Their defender just caught the ball with both hands and held it.  Never seen such a poor team... and they won their next match somehow.

Man, so many dreadful games watching Vale. Most depressing that springs to mind was losing 3-0 to Millwall in Feb 2008. A dreary grey day, made all the more depressing by the surroundings and the fact we did nothing for the whole match. I just remember there being a steady steam of fans leaving and being 1 of about 50 left at the end.

Colchester Away last season. Went with a Swindon fan too!

That’s up there. To think we went on such a great run afterwards but at the time it was the worst I had seen in years. Another cold, grey, drizzly day. An the atmosphere was dead, even by Colchester standards. Honestly you would never have known a match was on.

The worst game you've been to was a 4-0 win for the Vale?

Chasetown away for the embarrassment but worst for me was Walsall at home a few seasons back, travelled up from Somerset on my own and stayed in a hotel for the night, I never tend to leave early but the last goal I was in my hotel room in Hanley, think it ended 6-0 but may be wrong on the final score. Didn’t go to another Vale game for at least 9 months after.
