You’re probably right from an experience point of view. Jones is unproven at league one, I can’t imagine Jones being on too much in comparison to Hussey, who for me would be the one I would get rid of for a new left sided wing back.

Going to be interested what we do in terms of recruiting at RWB as genuinely cannot think of anyone for that. Personally I think Worrall so long as we look after him right is going to do well next season but with him being over 30 and his style of play we need to be careful with his usage. Cass can fill in there but it’s more do a job there than as a proper solution.

Coming back to the point made previously about the different opinions and the feeling that people are shut down if their view is different to the majority - I think we all enjoy the dynamics of the forum, certainly during a season when matches are played, but I've always said that with an opinion it has to be balanced and people posting things like "We're getting relegated" and the recruitment has been "very poor" isn't balanced. Not at all. It's knee-jerk. The season hasn't even started yet. 
 

Completely agree with the above but people are getting shot down for a valid concern of signings being done late in the window. If there saying recruitment has been very poor or we’re getting relegated then that’s based upon nothing and should be shot down. But I’ve seen quite a few decent arguments put forward on here  get shot down

Well, Sheff Weds are below us in that table and Accrington will win the league, happy days we finish 1 place above the relegation zone

I have no firm view one way the other, at the moment, regards the effectiveness of our pre-season recruitment and must admit I really try to base my views on facts rather than opinions whenever possible.  There’s therefore no doubt I’d be concerned if there were real world evidence linking late signings to a poor season’s performance when early signings demonstrated the opposite.  Are there data from previous seasons that correlate the timing of signings (completing a squad) with a season’s performance?   - Genuine question that might increase or decrease my ‘panic’ at least, depending on the answer.

The shop was closed when I called up at about 12noon.It looked like staff were sorting STs out for collection but nobody was allowed in there.You may be right Badboy.

I read an article recently about Bournemouth - the AFC doesn’t actually mean anything in their case, it was done solely to be first alphabetically and top at the start of a league season.

The Recruitment hasn’t been very poor it’s been Non Existent as yet !
