I like smith when he plays well v Oldham he was what he should be like every game ,very good since then his performance levels have being beyond poor ,I say what I see I see a disinterested player who's going at half tilt and he wouldnt be in my team at all until he sorts his head out and maybe starts showing folk that he is a good player because I feel that potentially he is ,at present he isnt

Really?Your Smith theory can apply to 6 or 7 others, but your obsession with crticising Nathan is a tad unfair at times.Ive seen him in training too and the lad always stands out giving 100%,even his dedication to get back from injury.Fact,as Ive seen it !Many more would have cried off .

If he is fit to play then keep Eisa quiet then thats part of the battle won but when he does play he always seems to rip us a new one

You think we will get well and truly beaten after the previous games performances - but you live in hope the good Vale team turn up and surprise you with magical passing on the floor, balls lofted into their box from the wingers.  Our striker(s) connecting every time with lofted balls into the box, either scoring or making their goalie work.  Ending in a cracking game and result.  Playing like the team we have seen at the beginning of the season and take Scunny to bits.  

What we will probably get - 1 striker marked by 2 defenders, so has no chance to connect with anything.  Wingers lobbing balls into the opposite corner flag.  Midfield having a picnic and our defenders watching Scunny strikers and midfield players scoring for fun.  Every ball kicked out of defence will either go out or straight to a Scunny player to put pressure on us.

But thinking this - we will all watch/listen to the game and wonder why we did it. Why - because we love the Vale. 🤪

Your right I judge the players by the every game so sometimes they are brilliant sometimes they are crap and sometimes they are neither good nor bad .

I really do not want to criticize Smith in particular but it seems he makes more errors than most and his are major costly ,v tranmere the game where it all started 3-2 winning  injury time mistimed header 3-3 gave them momentum lost 4-3 leyton orient at home drawing 2-2 playing them off the pitch carbon copy goal to lose a game they should never have lost ,sat game going nowhere 1-1 he gets left for dead by the bloke he was supposed be tight too and low and behold they score 2-1 ,another leg up .

Yes it's a team game he ain't the only one but he would not be in my team we cannot afford amateurish mistakes as if continues we will be finishing bottom 2

Nathan smith is a good league 2 centre half playing in a piss poor league 2 side any cb would struggle to have good form in our team have you seen the full backs he is having to play with. He is clearly just out of form and confidence isnt there. Any team in league two would snap him up in a nano second if we said we didnt want him anymore. Your forgetting he is still only 24 believe he has played way more games than most 24 year old cbs i can forgive him for his form dipping in this <ovf censored> show he is one of the few who i think cares and puts 100% effort in each week.

To not like him, or think he's not playing well, is one thing. To say he's disinterested or not trying is crackers. Judgement clouded!

This. In a team with two decent full backs, and a partner who wasn't also suffering from a lack of confidence/form, Smithy would be doing fine.

Agreed.  Yes Smith done for pace initially, but if Brown had stayed put would probably have got back goalside / making a difficult angle to score from.

of course option 1 would have been better - Brown whacking it into row Z!

How people can criticise Smith, Worrall and in the past Conlon is flabbergasting to me considering who else is playing. Yes they have had low performances but some players are maxing out their ability and still much worse than ^s off days.
