Agreed.  Yes Smith done for pace initially, but if Brown had stayed put would probably have got back goalside / making a difficult angle to score from.
of course option 1 would have been better - Brown whacking it into row Z!
I thought he slowed down when he saw brown if anything

Anyone who can watch that first goal on Saturday, and think that it's anyone's fault but Brown...You're biased against Smudger mate.

Hope he can start justify you love in with him ,first goal was I'd have watch it again but for one the lads in front of Smith and I cannot for the life of me understand why Browns coming out that far just to stop if indeed he did ,lack of communication that goal if your the goalie and you come out you gotta get there and if your the defender you make sure he is getting there or you speed up and get there first .

Anyway lets hope he plays well tonight along with ten others  theres no room for passengers with the situation we find ourselves in

How people can criticise Smith, Worrall and in the past Conlon is flabbergasting to me considering who else is playing. Yes they have had low performances but some players are maxing out their ability and still much worse than ^s off days.

Probably they're just being judged on the levels of their performances when compared to what we know they're capable of.  Confidence is probably the biggest factor.  The manner of some of the defeats this season can't fail but dent the confidence of all but the toughest characters.  Other factors can play a part in this too, you only had to listen to Pope opening up on the radio the other week to see that side of things.

True. It’s sad really, we seem to be such self-sabotagers sometimes.

Manny in the squad but not Monty... two strikers is good but Eisa plays and is a number 10 so going to be difficult to track him without a defensive midfielder.

Shame Gibbo isn’t starting!
To be fair, we don't really have a defensive midfielder at the moment anyway do we or, at least, he's not doing us much good! I'm quite excited now I've seen the team!
