For anyone that was unsure of Norman’s sanity and business acumen you have solid gold proof that the man is a a con artist of the highest order. He’s even conned himself into thinking that astute business people will want to buy a club that the can get for a fraction of the cost in a few month... as advertised by the plonker himself!!!

 

Would any one on here buy a house that you know you could get for a fraction of the cost in a few months time?

 

No way any business man or woman in their right mind would purchase us before the season ends now FACT. You could even argue that there is less of a risk buying us out of admin as in a few months time any perspective owner knows what league we are in (all be it with a deduction) they also get the club free of any debt and contracts that have been signed with suppliers et al.

 

The only exception to this would be synetics who have a vested interest in the wider community.

Going to exclusivity for such a small amount with a clear backstop date of the 5th of May wouldn’t even make sense for Smurthwaite... never mind the vale (although I’m sure He stopped caring about us a long time ago)

Suppose the Asians buy the club (assuming Norm isn't telling porkies - perish the thought) and do a Wimbledon, moving Vale to a place that doesn't have a League club? They wouldn't even have to change the name, Port Vale having no geographical connection to an actual place.

 

Then the Shanahans would have to start a legacy club in the lower leagues like AFC Wimbledon if they wanted Vale to continue. The only saving grace is that NS would be hacked off.

Logically stadium maintainence would be the responsibility of the owner of the ground but.....Depends on the terms of the tenancy, West Ham got a crazy good deal, most clubs don’t.
