While there is always hope we have to keep battling.

Who knows? Maybe the likes of Worrall and Monty can help. And I still think we ought to be using Legge and Howkins.

If we played our best XI I think we still have a chance.

That said, it is very slim and I'm expecting us to go.

I can't see us winning 4 games and a lot of the easier fixtures have now gone and we've got zilch from them.

There will also come a time if we carry on struggling when the players will drop their heads and then that's that.

I used this from the Fishy website https://thefishy.co.uk/calc.php lucky for them they are not down there with us so it's probably under used this season.

Had us finishing 3rd bottom which is odd as I buggered about with it twice prior to the Tranmere game and had us finishing 2nd bottom but I can't remember taking any points from the it.

It's such tight margins at this stage. Here's how that prediction would have looked if we had drawn with Morecambe:

19. Crawley Town (48)

20. Macclesfield Town (45)

21. Morecambe (45)

22. Port Vale (44)

23. Notts County (42)

24. Yeovil Town (30)

I know Yeovil aren't very good, but will they really lose their last 19 games?

I think our squad is being vastly under used. Even Worral at his worst should always be in this team. He was in a championship promoted Millwall team as a regular striker for heavens sake!

Montano has always been a solid football league player, as have numerous others.

Instead we play rubbish like Rawlinson, Hannant, Harris who have never, ever been proven to be good in the football league.

Funnily enough when guys like Montano, Worral etc all played up to around Oct/Nov, we actually picked up our most points.

Oyleke being out has hit us hard too. If he comes back we can get a few more wins.

If they hang on another month any points deduction would be next season.

Not sure that is true, I believe this is only if they were safe and couldn't go up. I.E set in place so a club who is mid table could do it tactically knowing it wouldn't affect them going up and down for instance, for example had we took ours after March 30th as we were out of both pictures would of rolled over to the promotion season.

The other issue is if a club is administration when relegated to the National League they will almost certainly be refused admittance and be demoted to the league below the National League System (i.e. Evo Stick NPL)

Notts County are definitely down if the Sentinel assessment is correct......

"No one in League Two has conceded more on their own ground this season than Vale’s 28, although Notts County pulled level due to their 4-1 mid-week Meadow Lane stuffing by Notts County."
