Said that on the Lincoln thread these players need to step/show up that they want to play for the fans/vale/manager/themselves if not asked to be released from there contracts with no cost to the club. also squad players need to give the manger something to think about.

there were only 7 boro fans at Walsall last week so I cant see that many vale fans making the gate massive even if they let us in for free I will be surprised if there are 500 at the game

IMO we should be using these games to get a system of playing in place with one eye on saturdays game too. No good playing a raft of players, getting a bit of confidence and then throwing all that out the window the following Saturday.

Wonder what side will turn up. The I give a sh+t about wearing the shirt and fans so will try to defend and play. Or the rabble that should be wearing a mask and stripped shirts.

 

There again, if they think they are playing in their normal positions to suddenly find they are playing out of position - then they must be as totally confused by the tactics and think like the fans - what the hell is happening.

I agree. We should get used to a system that works with similar players and keep with that. Dosent matter though aspin will change the side Tuesday and then make 3/4 changes again on Saturday.

Trouble is Steve, with injuries (physical & psychological) and suspensions 'correct positions' right now seems a bridge too far.
