Sometimes it doesn’t matter if you win ugly. Defending and digging in is just as an important side of the game as anything else. After all that’s those 4 players main job (5 with brown) to keep the ball out of the net any way possible.

Miller would cause defences far more problems if he learnt the offside law and passed the ball to better placed team mates. I hope he does this because we'll have a hell of a player on our hands if he does.

Pope is teaching him how to use them more effectively.

Have I just read that was the worst Vale victory in 47years. You ain't been many games then. Yeah we were crap, but I've only been going 36 years and have seen far worse victories. I suggest folks get a grip

One thing I've noticed and I really really think we should loose, is our minority complex!

 

Every time we win, it's because the opposition are crap, dreadful or shambolic.

I don't think we are. Truthful is more accurate.

We've had 2-3 seasons in succession now where we've struggled badly and not played well overall, surviving non league football by a whisker. In these circumstances I think it's understandable why we've sometimes been critical of our displays. It isn't all the time. But it's the truth. Why say we've played like Real Madrid if we haven't? Stoke people are not pessimistic but honest, truthful and realistic.

The comparison to Luke Rodgers is brilliant but if he does beat the offside trap he will score goals.

He can also turn his man when on his shoulder.A rough diamond but I,m sure we will polish him given the chance.

He needs regular games to get fitter and build his confidence but is what we need to support Pope up front.

Most strikers are greedy who score goals.He puts the effort in when he is on the pitch not like some who do it one game in five.(know who I mean Iron Curtain?)
