Shirt and kit

I take Walter's point, but I'm not on his side in this debate.

Each to their own, but over the many year's of Vale's history I'd guess that for 90% of the time and certainly since 1936 we've nearly always had a black and white strip and usually yellow as the away one.

The black and amber was in fashion when I started going as well but only for about 4-5 years.

When people think of Port Vale it's black and white they primarily think of, not purple or pink or blue or grey or whatever.

As others have said above, why on earth do we want to swap and change? Football clubs have a long tradition and proud history. Let's keep it like that.

Since 1981/2 season when sponsorship came in there has been nothing traditional about shirts, they are all spoiled by large sponsorship logos which spoils the look and history. However that’s the way of the marketing world and making some money for clubs. Being an old traditionalist not against black and white just some of my old memories are of Bert Llewelyn puffing his chest out in Black and Amber! If someone said that we could get a million pounds for renaming the ground “The Kellogg’s Corn Flake” stadium I would take that nowadays. Our history since 1876 won’t win us points or promotion and neither will any kind of strip only good management and better players will do that. So purple Ok but would have liked all Black with an amber “V” but that’s why football is great everybody loves an opinion and they are all valid.
